i did some rather scary calculations the other day about the costs of the re-releases:

CD 3 x £10 = £30
deluxe 3 x £21 = £63
vinyl 3 x £16 = £48
hmv tshirt packs 3 x £36 = £108
amazon box set 1 x $65 = £35

GRAND TOTAL: £284

I can't even begin to justify that to myself! That's one hell of a pay day for U2!

Zavvi are selling the 3 x double discers for £17 each - free postage.

Zavvi in the UK have the remasters + the box

Buy cheap DVDs, games, music CDs and books from zavvi

Zavvi (used to be Virgin) are selling the double remasters for £17 each and if you order at least 2 then you get the outer box as well.

Zavvi are the cheapest I've found in the UK anyway + all you need to do is buy any 2 from the new remasters or the JT sets.

Drowning Man is on there. Sounds like you hit something and made the tracks be organized by something other than track number. I did that before.

And I believe Seconds is the regular album version, not the extended one.

The HMV "with T-shirt" listing for War has the 2 b-sides live from Werchter on the 2nd Disc.
These are not listed on Amazon.

I just noticed on Amazon.co.uk that the UK version of War (Deluxe Version) has 2 (or rather, 3) extra tracks. At the end of the bonus disc it also includes I Threw A Brick Through A Window/A Day Without Me and Fire. If so, these are most likely the live tracks from Werchter 1982 as included on the New Year's Day single. Still, why then only on the UK version and not the others (as it isn't mentioned on Amazon.com)? Luckily, I have that CD-single, but for those who don't...

There's something there that reminds me of Wave of Sorrow.

Weren't the vocals for that recorded and added later?
Could the vocals for Angels have been done at the same time?

im gettin the box set from amazon cant wait ! i hope they ship to australia by xmas, bloody jt remasters took ages but were wellll worth it

why wait till christmas just go to Jb hi fi next monday and buy it? why do we need the box set its just the three discs in a box it will cost about 10-15 bucks more to buy all the discs seperately and you will get them now plus they might even have the box set
