You girls are too sweet :cute:. I'm hoping to see the both of you in Pittsburgh right? It's going to be so much FUN!!!

We can't make it to Pittsburgh. We have a huge midterm monday. But we have added Detroit 2. Our flight is right after our midterm. So excited. We should go back to studying. Damn bluecrack!

Hope you have a great time! We will see you at the Cali shows. Can't wait!

I'm finally back in town after whirlwind travel to the shows at MSG and Philly--and I have to say congrats to all the dancing girls! I was standing next to Alli when she got pulled up and it was so amazing to see--she did a great job and Bono just adores her. When he said, "you're beautiful" it was so heartfelt it made my knees weak...and it didn't even happen to me! Alli, see you in Philly Friday

We literally are living out of our suitcases . I hope you feel better .

I had the BEST time with you in NYC, and I'm so glad YOU were standing next to me at the 10/14 show. The experience wouldn't have been the same without you.

Took some time to download, but it was well worth it!!

:applaud:

:combust:

Etcetera!

Good to have a laptop.
No neck problems for me.

You did great, Alli!
And from what I understand, there are more concerts to follow.

Next time (I really feel that it's quite likely that you're gonna be up there again. Same goes for Miroslava. And why hasn't Ruffian been up there yet? Common B!!), definitely do something with the cowboy hat!!
I liked that idea.

I am enjoying all these pictures, videos and stories inmensely!

How I would  to be one of Bono's dancing girls myself.

Thanks. I really hope you get your dance

I want Ruff up there too  ...basically, I'm sending good vibes to all those who want a dance with B

I'll be at Pittsburgh this weekend, then both Oakland shows, and Portland. But who really knows about this concert schedule. Seems to always be changing...ie, I never planned on going to Dublin, Chicago or New York. And look what happened. Don't tell the husband of my scheming plans :shh:

Thank you.
But as much as I would like to believe that it's possible, it just ain't gonna happen.
Cause let's face it, you'll at least need to have a GA ticket + time to line up early for that.
(Which I both don't have)

I'm rooting for every-one too. It's really exciting to hear a PLEBAn got onstage.
And reading the stories, looking at the photo's and watching the video's is definitely :hyper: and

I'm going to be in Oakland as well.
Just bought a ticket for the first show yesterday.
And definitely planning to go to the second one as well.
I'm really glad my husband is out of town on a bussines trip that week.
So I can enjoy the concert by myself and go as crazy as I like.

A girl was up during WOWY last night, and I dont know if she is an interferencer. She looked really scared and barely moved through the whole dance :( I dont know if it was because she froze or shes really shy, but she actually refused to go up to begin with!

I'm Shy too.:reject:

Does anyone have pics from 10/17, the WOWY girl is Brasilian:)

This is from Fan Reviews at U2.com:

"The oh-so fortunate Brazilian girl had so many other things to say...

Thanks to my husband's login id here, I am able to share my unspeakable joy after the events of last night. We traded our 10/16 GA tickets so we could go last night. We did not sleep over the night before. I thought for sure our tickets would not be 'lucky' ones so as to get us into the "Bomb Shelter" area. I never win anything and wasn't different this time since my ticket didn't do the trick. My husband's did. He is most certainly my lucky charm. Not only did we get into the inner circle but we also experienced one of the most incredible moments of our lives last night.

I am a girl from Brazil. U2 has only been there once, during the Pop Mart tour in 1998. We were at that concert, which was truly an amazing experience, at a Brazilian soccer stadium, filled with over 100 thousand screaming andU2-adoring people!

But last night was truly one of a kind. I was fortunate enough to be the one Bono chose to hand his microphone to. I was able to talk to one of the icons of my generation in my own language.
I had so many things to say but my many emotions got in the way. I wanted to tell Bono that I feel so privileged for being part of a generation that is really trying to make a difference and that he is the one of the main driving forces. I know to say to Bono that we can and will be ONE for those who need our help the most.

Musically, and since I was not privileged enough to be at a Joshua Tree concert (JT is my favorite U2 album), this was the BEST concert (not just the best U2 concert!) I have ever been to.

Personally, the universe conspired in my favor last night. I had a good chunk of my FAVORITE song in the whole world ("With or Without You") sung to ME by Bono!!!

And I am oh so elated today. So "Kiss me, I'm Brazilian!!!!". "

I can be very shy too but sometimes something gets into me
During the first half of my time up there I was petrified just like her but then my devilish side captured me
Otherwise I would have just clung to him for dear life the whole time....then again I was a bit naughty with my face buried in his neck

I havent seen any of the girl you just posted but its a cool story! And shows you that you dont have to get in the ellipse to have a lucky night!

Hi girls!

Well guess what? We were waiting for the band to arrive outside of the MCI centre yesterday. There were people lined up on both sides of the driveway, and since I had kind of a crummy spot on the main side, I noticed a small group of people on the other side, and a space right on the barricade, so I moved over there.

No sooner did I move when the guards told all the other people (including poor BAW (Char), and Tara) to move, so in the end there was just one giant group on the side in which I was standing! It was not a long line, but a deep one. About 12 people wide and many layers deep. The group now consisted of Popbellydancer and Tara, and at least 3 other people who have been on stage with Bono.

Eventually their stage manager came out (is it Rocky or Rocco? I forget) and told us the band would not be sound checking, but would arrive sometime between 5 and 6. At that point a large group of GA people left because they had to get back in line. Char was able to get right next to me at that point.

At first I was really optimistic because the group had thinned to less than 20 people. But of course gradually the mob built right up again, there were at least 50 people, probably more.

Suddenly all these police arrived, it was crazy! And then around 6:15ish, we found out the band was finally arriving. And they did with their police escort. I saw Adam in his car, but never did see Larry or Edge, although I think they went in with the main band convoy.

Then Bono's car came up. (Yes, I'm getting to the point of this story!) They stopped and he rolled the window down. The crowd went nuts. He hesitated for a minute, and opened the door. The crowd began to swell forward. "Oh shit!" I thought, my camera isn't ready!!! I was convinced that with all those people, all that screaming and police etc, that he'd breeze right in.

Bono got out of the car right in front of my nose. Char was taking pictures, so she did get a couple of good ones, although she was getting squished and it was hard to take pics. We heard him say "Shhhhhh!" to the crowd because there were some people screaming so loud. "I shouldn't be doing this" he said sheepishly.

He then looked right at me, and Char said she could see the wheels turning in his head. I was holding my picture, which I'd had made into an 8x10 back in Toronto. It is somewhat bent, but still in reasonable shape. I said (over the din), "do you remember me? Your Toronto belly dancer?"

"OF COURSE!!!" he said with genuine enthusiasm, and much to my amazement, he grabbed my hand and pressed it to his cheek for a few seconds. He bent down slightly as he did this. I remember feeling the warmth of his skin against my hand. It was very :cute: and romantic and :combust:

He took my picture and now the barricade was starting to shake. With people pushing behind me. He only had a few seconds to spare, but along with his signature he wrote (and said as he wrote because it's quite illegible) "Thanks for the dance!" He still hasn't asked for my name! :scream:

Then he signed a few other things, and was rushed inside because I think he was quite late. I can't believe he was so nice as to stop with such a mob there.

Sooooo, I now know that he remembers me, and if I never meet him ever again, I at least have my picture signed. I am of course going to wait around again today and see if I can FINALLY meet Edge, or actually say something to Bono...we shall see!

Oh btw, last night's show was AWESOME. Bono pulled up this adorable little girl for Sunday Bloody Sunday...he got her to sit on the monitor and sang "no more" with her singing it back to him. It was very sweet and made the song seem all fresh again to me.

The WOWY girl did take awhile to get on stage. I thought for sure it was going to be Tara because it was in her general area, but anyway, the girl looked extremely happy to me...although there wasn't much movement. She just smiled and he held her close the whole time. It was nice to see a first timer on stage. :cute:

Can't wait for tonight! :hyper:
