As some of u may know, I bought a digital camera this week and i've been mucking around. I thought it was high time for another photography thread.
I love seeing amateur shots. Please share your photos whether they be arty, pretty or just silly.

Self Portrait? Perhaps my tribute to boys

Very nice pics everyone!

Amanda, those were taken in a lovely town on the Southern coast of Maine-the rocky area has a mile long walk, where you can sit on benches along the way and just enjoy the view and sound of the waves crashing on the rocks.

There is a beautiful beach there too. It is one of my favorite vacation spots.

Acro, i think you must live near heaven.
That shot is gorgeous. I want to sit on one of those hills!

mib, is that miami, in the united states? its looks european in the foreground, but american in the background. very interesting shot indeed. you captured the sky perfectly.

great photos guys!! wow I am impressed. Wanderer, I can't see yours though. Does anyone know possibly why I can't see attached images? It just comes up white.

Acro that is gorgeous countryside

yes, miami...

that's behind a place near South Beach where they have this old italian-style mansion called Vizcaya, built in the 1800s by an italian achetect, the grounds have been used in several films including Great Expectations

That's cool Wanderer (the pic & the history)!

Great photo's guys. Wanderer, that is an AMAZING photo. Very well done. Have you studies phtography. I don't think my college photography professor (a notorious hard-ass) could find much wrong (technical-wise) with that phtoto.

I have a selection of photo's here: http://home.earthlink.net/~nswogger/photoone.html

edit: I tried attaching a photo but it's too big...you'll have to use the link for now

Great photos guys. I wish I had either a digital camera or a scanner (preferably both) so I could put some of my photos on my computer easily. My brother took my favorite photo and scanned it at work, though. Not a gorgeous landscape shot, but I like it. It's a picture of our dog, Sunny. :)

more of ireland

This is my favorite picture we got on the trip. My friend randomly took it out the airplane window as we flew from Dublin to Shannon to fly home to Boston.

Sorry I can't link it directly, but click here and it'll pop up:

Ireland By Air

This is a picture of the 7 towers Bono sings about in RTSS, taken from the top of the Guinness Brewery. It was chilling to see.

I see seven towers..
