Ehh, I've seen that argument made recently in several places and find that position to be bullshit. Star Wars is Lucas' property. While he didn't direct Empire or Jedi he was obviously the main creative force behind those films, was on set the entire time, and had final say on the script and on the finished picture. You think either of those two hired guns had final cut? No way.

I saw a few blu ray commercials for this during NFL football today and my stoic resistance to buying it until it hits a sale is wavering.

I thought the consensus is that people hate that kind of packaging, where the discs slip roughly into cardboard.
