how many billions of years is it before the sun supposedly burns out?

in about 3 or 4 billion years the Sun will start hydrogen shell burning, and will expand into a red giant, swallowing up the inner planets and most of the asteroids. Once it hits its maximum size and the hydrogen nearly burns out, the Sun will undergo a helium flash, eject all its helium and heavy materials and create a planetary nebula from it all, becoming finally a white dwarf star.
