I've been extremely confused about this, so I'd really appreciate an answer.

Can someone tell me ALL of the proshot shows? I keep hearing about all of these broadcasts and DVDs and IMAX movies and such and I'm getting very very confused.

OK so we have Chicago, Milan, Sao Paulo and... what else? What's this talk of an IMAX movie? What's the talk of these other broadcasts? I'm so confuuused [face_cry]


And if you could tell me oth some proshot shows from the last few tours I'd be very grateful as well.

U2 film every show on tour, and have for a while now.

As for shows that are possibly going to be released, we Have Chicago (already out...duh!), Milan, Sao Paulo (Broadcast on TV, torrented), Buenos Aries I think was a show filmed for an IMAX release, and was going to be broadcast over there on telly Sunday night (i think!)

(Also read Mexico City had been filmed, or something too)

As for Previous tours, there is pro-shot fotage Of Buneos Aries (or was that just radio?), Santiago and Sao Paulo and Boston (any i've missed??) from the PopMart tour.

Zoo TV had Stockholm, Basel, Sydney (on VHS!), Adelaide and Wasthington (May have missed some there)....

ok, I'm neither an expert but I'll try.

There are the official concerts dvd's released by the group (That's Chicago, probably Milan Vertigo ones and Mexico 1998 PopMart as examples). Some of the concerts are broadcasted by local television channels, with their own cameras and equipment, these videos circulates between the fans; there are also the concerts recorded and filmed by the band but not officially released as U2 dvd's, as rumoured Santiago concert and Sao Paulo for examples; I guess people here refers to them as "bootlegs".

Finally there are the movies (like Rattle & Hum) filmed by the band; they filmed the Buenos Aires last shows in order to make a movie and they used new technology 3D cameras in that. The problem is it is neccesary special 3D projectors to see that effect; so is probably that the Buenos Aires Vertigo movie will take a while before it is released by the group. More info about IMAX technology in its website (I can't write it here... bloddy forum's rules)

that's all I can help, I'm affraid... we are trying to convince the band to make the Santiago 2006 Vertigo concert (which was superb!) into an official U2 DVD

Yes, there's proshot of Buenos Aires. You're missing Las Vegas and Edmonton. I think there were a couple in Europe too, or at least incomplete. I can't remember if Rotterdam is complete, and I know Reggio Emilia is incomplete.

Isn't there some proshot footage from Houston floating around? I also thought Rotterdam 1992 was proshot for a while but it's just a really stable audience tripod.

Pre-Zoo, here's some off the top of my head:

Lovetown: Sydney 1989-11-18 (incomplete), Dublin NYE (just 1.5 songs sadly)

JT Tour: Syracuse, Los Angeles, and there's Tempe, Boston, NYC material that didn't make RAH floating about.

UF Tour: Dortmund. That's it.

War Tour: Loreley, Devore, almost complete Red Rocks.

October Tour: Berlin, incomplete from festivals (Gateshead and a Belgian one, I forget whether it's Werchter or Tourhout).

Boy Tour: Belfast, The Hague.

Also, from Elevation, there's Notre Dame.

Notre Dam was a webcast proshot... The version's that are fullscreen and available on DVD are outtakes that were shown on the 4 screens above the stage...
