I learned about them through Springsteen. Some really great stuff. I think If You Didn't Laugh, You'd Cry is probably their best effort (from what I've heard). The song City Of Dreams is gorgeous. I also like Freedom Park from the previous CD.

I don't pretend to know all of their stuff yet, but I really enjoy what I've heard so far.

the music on that link, esp. "If you didn't Laugh, You'd Cry" reminds me of the "Mermaid Avenue" albums by Wilco & Billy Bragg.

I have the album with Freedom Park on it. They're pretty good; not as good as I was hoping after reading Stephen King rave and rave about them in one of his Entertainment Weekly columns.

I have heard of them...through Springsteen, but haven't listened to them, I'm afraid it will disappointing like Jesse Malin
