He is such a sweetie...a gentle giant. He goes everywhere with my sister. He gets in the backseat of her car, and he is so well-behaved. She brings him with when she comes to visit us, and that's a 400 mile drive. He thinks he's a lap dog too.
I hope he's okay. I don't know what my sister would do without him. We all love him so much too.
My sister was able to leave work to get Carl and bring him home. He's still acting funny, but it might be because of his meds. It's looking better though, so we'll keep our fingers crossed!
I just talked to my sister, and she said Carl isn't doing very well now. One of his eyes is rolling back in his head, he keeps throwing up, and he fell while going down the stairs. The vet said that he SHOULD get better slowly a little everyday though...so we'll have to see what happens.
Carl took a turn for the worse. He's staying at the vet this weekend, and if he doesn't improve, he has to be put to sleep. The vet doesn't expect him to improve though.
Hey Kat I am really sorry to hear about your sister's dog!! sending good vibes to you
but I have some dog news to share my dog Marti had to be put down today and I wasnt home to say goodbye she was 13 so she live a long life but I miss her so much bc she would always snuggle with me when I was upset
and good vibes to you and your sister and her doggie!!!
Kelly, I'm so sorry - my first dog had to be put to sleep while I was away at summer camp, he wasn't sick when I left so it was a total shock. So I know a little about how hard it can be when you're not there to say goodbye
Julie wanted to bury him in the backyard. She started to dig a hole tonight because she'd have to dig a damn huge hole for Carl...he's about 150 pounds. She hit a wire though and screwed up her power. We don't think it's legal to bury your dig in your yard if you live in the city though, so she's decided to have him cremated.
