now I'm thinking about utilizing my own shirt idea :hmm:

haha! i would SO wear that too. worst.line.ever.

it's literally the only line of lyrics i *don't* sing along with at the show...i just can't bring myself to do it.

is that line seriously "intellectual tortoise?"

I always figured it was some bono-gabble that I couldn't understand... and never got around to looking it up. So now I will look it up.

.....
LAME, Bono. LAME.

He's written so many other incredible lyrics, I think I can forgive him for that one!

:lmao:

Bono! Look at my chest!

aww, I wish I could still fit into my shirt with the zootv words on it. I made them small on purpose so I could laugh at people squinting at my boobies and make them embarassed.

I posted a reply in this thread like an hour ago! And it's not here!
rah, I'll say it again

so, random thought today.
If you have a GA and you park yourself outside the ellipse on the rail at the tip... how well can you see the stage?

I'm almost 5'7" and I could see just fine. There were a couple times these two really tall lanky guys who were at the very back of the ellipse kept standing with their arms folded behind their heads and that was kind of annoying, but not enough to get in the way of my overall enjoyment of the show.

i don't understand what all the big deal about seeing is...i can always see just fine :sexywink:

in truth, kristie...it's better to be on the rail of the outside of the ellipse and have space between you and the person in front of you than to have a tall person directly in front of you...

yeah I'll bet you can

I'm on the fence now about doing the loading dock thing. Should I? Shouldn't I? What will I do between the loading dock time and the concert time?

sit on the curb and do homework, probably :)

....there's a museum nearby if I get desperate...

I had to replace a fuse in my car today. I felt mechanical.

:eyebrow: spam in our thread!!! :madspit:

Kristie, you might as well try. First, you'll probably have nothing better to do and you can meet some fun people at the dock (I met like 3-4 new Interferencers there). Second, then you won't hear stories of everyone meeting the band and be kicking yourself later.

I did it!

I saw Adam and Bono and Edge but not Larry at ALL.

All three of them bypassed me for autographs 'cause people are PUSHY so I had to content myself with taking pictures.

Will tell it better when I don't have class in 20 minutes.

Ok.
Story with pictures.
I figured I might as well post it in here 'cause you guys are the only ones that really care about me.
*dramatic hand to forehead*

SO I made it to boston just fine and got there arooooooooouuuuund 3:15. With parking and hiking to the arena it was 4 'cause it was kind of far. So I said, "hmm, it's a little late" and was having some trouble finding the big concrete ramp. I also wanted to find a staff person and ask them what the word was on cameras. So, I see a guy and I go to ask him and Lo! The big concrete ramp! He says non-professional cameras are fine, however, only your standard size women's purse is allowed (meaning not my backpack). I did not bring a purse. Sign also says no bags so I can't go buy something and then transfer all my goods to that. BLAH.
So, I put aside my backpack worries and set off for the end of the big concrete ramp to see what the word there is. Right as I walk up a black car goes by and there's a commotion and I see a hand that was apparently Adam's. Oooo, Adamhand. Lady tells me Larry, Edge and Adam have gone by and I say "awww, I missed them but there's still Mr. Punctual Bono. Soooo I'm looking down the street for something Bono-esque and there's ANOTHER commotion and I turn around and hey, it's Adam Clayton! Who is smaller than I imagined. I keep forgetting what a short band they are. But I'm in the back. So all I got was pictures, which you will now see.

So Adam goes away and I weasel my way a little closer to the front and then about 2 minutes later out strolls the Edge. At which point I get shoved aside because people are RUDE. So I try my best to stretch, but again get no autograph or anything. So, picture.

edge_sm.jpg

I don't have any from a more front angle 'cause I was trying to get my autograph.

So I stand around for a little while longer and maybe 10 minutes later up drives Bono who of course gets out. Bono is nice. Honestly Edge and Adam kind of had their fake smile autograph game faces on. Alas, he too bypassed me. So... pictures. While he was over on the other side of the ramp I was talking to this nice older lady and she felt sorry for me 'cause nobody signed anything of mine and grabbed my camera and weasled her way to the front and shouted things at him to get him to turn around (he turned and flexed at "Bono you're a stud!" but turned back before the picture. nice older lady
So anyway.
Pictures.

First one I took, second one she took. Contrary to how it appears he is NOT closely examining his toes, but was bowing.
Larry never showed up. I gave him like 5 minutes but I figured since he was the first one there and is Larry (meaning "generally grumpy") he wasn't going to come out.

So, off in search of a purse I went. Fortunately for me there was a lady who did not speak english well selling designer knockoffs across the street. I bypassed the $30 louis vitton purse and instead bought the $5 red oriental print variety, as it was the cheapest and I wasn't picky. Headed off to my car again to drop off backpack and stuff everything in my purse. Sat by the water to eat my lunch, back to the car to get a coat as it was getting cold, and off to the arena.

Show was fantastic.
They got my mental message and played acoustic stuck which was awesome.
They did not get my mental vibe to play Daddy's Gonna Pay et cetera.
Sad they didn't play anything off AB except One. Sad they didn't play Discotheque 'cause it's Dave's favorite U2 song and I was going to call him so he could hear.
Feet shrieking in pain walking all the way back to car as there was no sitting at concert.
Guy did not give me discount for fleet center ticket stub since I got there at three. :madspit:
Boston driving = construction and traffic and kristie being grumpy.
Back here about 4am. Call escort service to take me back to my dorm from the parking garage as it is late and I am a cute unarmed female.
Sleep.
The End.

yes
with the ramp that you can't stand on and the construction that made it so you couldn't stand next to the ramp, everyone had to squeeze onto the sidewalk

oh oh I forgot something
while bono was signing autographs a tour bus drove by and stopped and they all took pictures of bono
and I laughed
and edge had a seizure during sunday bloody sunday

and now I have class again
