How many times have you seen U2 live?

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.

5/24/97- Columbus
5/7/01- Columbus
5/10/01- Indianapolis
10/10/01- South Bend
5/7/05- Chicago
10/22/05- Pittsburgh
10/25/05- Detroit
9/13/09- Chicago
6/26/11- East Lansing
7/26/11- Pittsburgh
7/2/15- Chicago

11 so far, and then...

7/1/17- Cleveland
9/10/17- Indianapolis

My 2nd biggest regret is that I was at work the morning the Cleveland Vertigo show went on sale, and I completely forgot all day. It was sold out by the time I checked! I was able to pick some up for the 2nd Detroit show instead, and that had a pretty good setlist so I'm happy.

My biggest regret is that I let work obligations stand in the way of me attending more I&E shows. I wanted to attend 3 Chicago shows, but settled for one... all because of work. I won't make that mistake again. At the end of my wife, I definitely won't be saying "I wish I'd have worked more..."

My total is 21 including 2 shows upcoming on the JT Tour 2017.

So, there have been 74 responses now to this question.

1,521 shows seen or scheduled to be seen, divided by 74 = 20.55.

So the average of those responding is 20.55, or 20 to 21 shows on average. Funny how my total equals the average.

So, if were all die hard fans, I guess you could say the average die hard fan has seen the band 20 or 21 times.

I've seen them 18 times sofar, with 5 more concerts coming up this summer.

Yeah I'm not even gonna pretend I didn't copypaste this from U2gigs. Love the feature of adding upcoming shows that count down! Didn't know that existed yet, neat.

I'm not as rich as everybody here, it seems. I only saw U2 twice, Both times were on the Elevation Tour.

I started working at a supermarket during the weekend when I was 15. Saved up every penny so I could finally see the band on the 360 tour. During my study period I never went on holiday, let everything coincide with U2 shows so they were my holiday. I'm not rich at all, even though I now have a full time job I still have study loans to pay back and all the regular costs.

It's not a matter of being rich. It's a matter of what you choose to spend your money on. Other people prefer luxury vacations and going out for dinner or drinks often. I choose not to and to save up so I can see U2 while they still tour. After they retire there'll be cash for other things.

Yeah I'm a student right now (well I graduate on Monday) and I'm saving up all my money this summer so I can go see them in San Diego (and Phoenix if the rumored show happens)

Have had really good seats/spots every show though, PoP i dont remember much from except people waving lighters during some ballad (probably One or Wowy). Became really a U2 fan in my early 20s so that was when 360 tour rolled around. I was probably 22-23 then, 23 iirc.
