Lovetown shows were too short in general...otherwise brilliant though.

Us Americans didn't get Lovetown...that's my point!

Good. I hope they do another Lovetown. You guys get two legs of every single tour and still bitch that you want more shows.

At least when they come down here, we'll be grateful for just a few shows.

They played the setlist up and down in the Love Town Tour, because they were bored as hell of becoming their own juke box.

I thank those moments that gave us eventually Achtung Baby Zoo TV and some of the best u2 moments ever.

No need to be spiteful.

U2 usually have had static sets. Your beloved ZooTV and Popmart had the most static sets of the lot.

agreed. but at least then ALL the music was interesting.

on top of that, the excuse could be made about it being difficult to translate different setlists onto the giant screens...even though i still don't buy that either.

as far as i'm concerned, zootv and popmart were so great, u2 didn't even need to play any songs.

Lovetown - U2 mixed it up the most of any tour and musically were on fire.
Zoo - stellar production, completely static predictable setlists

Depends on what you are looking for in a tour I guess. I liked them both, for the different reasons I indicated above.

Oh, and if they dont play Streets, I agree with others. I can think of alot of the other staples I would rather see them drop over Streets.

Whining Americans...we didn't get Lovetown
Whining Antipideians...we didn't get Joshua Tree...

Thus we can all unite...behind ZooTV.

Better idea: unite around The Unforgettable Fire Tour, which we all got too, and it had better songs.

A Sort Of Homecoming, Wire, The Unforgettable Fire ...

I'm not complaining...I'm just saying that we didn't see Lovetown.

You are lucky I didn't mention the final leg of ZOO TV (which was to promote Zoorpra)

Some people tend to insert fake songs into the setlist around here and think they're being funny...

i never have thought i'm funny.

i know i'm funny, and i've got the masses behind me who'll concur.

I forget which Rotterdam show it is but Bono quotes In God Country at the end of All Along the Watchtower and it is amazing

It's hard to compare shows from another period in time. From the late 80s, they would only have 7-10 years of a musical catalog to play from. Now it's 2005 and they have 25 years worth of material to choose from - and only 2 hours to play....

Streets has been played every show since 88(?) Would be very weird...

The last time it was missed was 18 November 1989, Sydney.

streets was played after pirde, i thought somebody already confirmed that...
