Of science and the human HEART
There is no limit
There is no failure here sweetHEART
Can you hear me when I SING
you’re the reason I SING
Can you see the BEAUTY inside of me?
What happened to the BEAUTY I had inside of me?
You can run from LOVE
And if it’s really LOVE it will find you
The SOUL needs beauty for a SOUL mate
When the SOUL wants… the SOUL waits …
And you broke every HEART thinking every HEART mends
Well the HEART that hurts
Is a HEART that beats
I’ll give you everything you WANT
Except the thing that you WANT
Take this CITY
A CITY should be shining on a hill

Instead of finding rhyming words, it seems like Bono is using the exact same words. Bono uses the same key words in consecutive lines, sometimes up to four times. Has anyone seemed to notice this? This is a songwriting style that I haven't seen as much in previous albums. There also seems to be an utter refusal by Bono to use pronouns. Does anyone have any plausible explanation other than Bono losing his vocabulary?
Cheers,
J
