I'm seeing such mixed responses around the loss of smell symptom. It definitely precedes positive testing, but the progression of symptoms depends on the person. Some people have it as their only symptom, others progress to having it with other symptoms first, some don't get it at all.

What I'd like to know is if it's sudden or gradual. NPR's write up suggested that it happens all at once, like you just wake up one day and your sense of smell and taste are completely gone.

That doesn’t make any sense at all. It encourages people to not file their taxes (wages go up in most cases). Furthermore, if you’re like me and 2019 was your first year in big boy job land, your first year AGI may be inflated by relocation etc. I’m set to make less money in 2020 vs 2019, and the difference legit means I won’t qualify.

Furthermore, people were employed in 2019. Everyone just got fired. Basing it off 2019 sounds like the easiest way to not give it to those who need it the most.

In the meantime, our governor just announced an additional 2-week curfew extension with a lot more restrictions. Currently at 64 cases, for now it seems to be going up by 10 every 24 hours.

I’ve stayed at home, day #11 in self-quarantine and still not showing any symptoms after traveling to Barcelona which is a good sign.

A shame to see that the White House is trying to restart the economy when the pandemic is approaching it’s highs in the U.S.

Thanks again all for the nice messages regarding my aunt and uncle. Good news is that atleast my aunt tested negative for the virus but she is still sedated and on a ventilator. She hasn’t gotten any better over the last few days but she hasn’t gotten worse either. Right now they are keeping her sedated in hopes that her body can slowly fight the pneumonia. My uncle is getting much better though and will probably be released from
The hospital once his test results come back (if negative). Here is to hoping all of you remain safe and well! Life is just too short and you just don’t know what the next day will bring so make the most of it!
