There's been a lot of talk, maybe, maybe too much talk. This song is not a rebel song. This song is Your Blue Room

Cue the organ Edge

"something you've never heard before":hmm:

could be the usual Bono hype...or perhaps breaking new ground musically...really, what stone hasn't been unturned with music?

If they whipped out Your Blue Room at the iHeart event, that would be the most savage thing they've ever done.

Two holidays ( France/Croatia) mean two new albums? ;-)

Seriously when was Larry last seen with the band?

Bono Vox...

So, I could seriously be missing something, but doesn't Bono Vox ever get too hot for black clothes and long sleeves?

I mean for eff's sake, best I can tell in this picture he's by an ocean or inlet or some dang thing and people in the background appear to be wearing bathing suits and shirtless... yet Bono Vox is wearing all black and long sleeves too.

What the heck?

Maybe being rock star cool requires one to be hot or wear dark all the time.

Maybe for songs of experience we will see him in a white t shirt and blue jeans?

Damn! I know I'm stating the obvious but that really makes him look so much older.

Was thinking today, I really feel that this will be the last act for U2, as much as it pains me to consider it. Ending your career with an album that (allegedly) draws on the experiences from this 40 year journey, and ending with one final massive world tour... it's the way to go out if they're planning on it.

One of my other favorite bands is Yellowcard, who have been on the scene for nearly 15 years, and are calling it quits after this year. They've announced one last album, one last tour... a definitive goodbye for all of their fans to experience together. Whether or not this is when U2 does that remains to be seen, but I hope they decide to do something along those lines when it is time.

Wearing black hides the fact that he's fat...

Yeah I think so. I posted it thinking it was a new show but realised I had screwed up.
Well it's marketed completely differently, so no wonder you thoughts it was a separate show. I did too

Also, u2 playing a save the children show is the most stereotypical u2 thing ever

I know, it's so strange. I mean, no explanation, just some random charity concert with tickets for 1000 USD (and that's the cheap option it seems). Weird.

Is that the same date as Dreamfest? http://theconcertforkids.com

The most important tidbit in that posting is hidden in U2's bio, which obviously would have come from the band or LiveNation's PR team...

The critically acclaimed sold-out iNNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE Tour, on which U2 would “reinvent the arena show” (Rolling Stone), opened in Vancouver in May last year - and has to date seen the band play to over 1.2 million fans in 22 cities across Europe and North America.

"to date"

which of course insinuates that the tour is not over yet. Which we all knew, of course, but this is a subtle confirmation that the tour is continuing and continuing as i+e
