I don't know why Iris is incurring some of this forum's wrath. To me the dud moment is wedging Song For Someone between Cedarwood and SBS. Doesn't matter if it works thematically if it doesn't sonically. Song For Someone would probably sit better before Cedarwood, and the theme wouldn't be lost. In fact, might be good to pair together the two new songs about the two main women in Bono's life.
I was just gonna follow up my previous post saying this. The energy killer in the room is going from Cedarwood Road into Song for Someone, then coming back with that lack luster acoustic arragemnet of SBS. Iris is actually great live so I'm not understanding the hate it's recieving either. Is it from people who have been to the shows or those who have only watched or listened online? In person I thought it was great and was probably my favourite moment of night #1 in Vancouver. I absolutely agree that Song For Someone should come after Iris then they should crank it back up with Cedarwood Road and then do a Rattle and Hum style SBS. Slow to begin then BOOM!

I'm half considering turning this into a drinking game. A shot every time a periscope dies, and one more when we all find a link. A shot every time we get a new song debut.

I swear I'm not a lush!

The video screen, the song selection both scream for Discotheque to be next. The way they all walk out of the video screen and hit the "e" stage is so reminiscent of when they walked out of the mirrorball Lemon and onto the B stage on Popmart too.

They are playing it way too safe by bringing out Mysterious Ways every night. They know the casual fans react with glee when they hear the opening chords but come on let's show POP some love boys!

And, just to be "that" person, if they're gonna do MW, at least do the guitar solo OR have a bellydancer on screen.

Just a suggestion. I'm in love with this show regardless.

Plus, y'know, Discotheque is on a Best Of, so it's not exactly an obscurity. It would get wide recognition from casuals as well as diehards.
