Christ on a fucking bike, some guy who noone knows and hasn't posted in forever saunters into EYKIW, says he has an anonymous friend peripherally associated with BoA and basically confirms everything I said before...and people just lap it up and fall all over themselves to thank him. This place is fucking absurd I swear

Eh, what he said seems like it lines up with logical assumptions.*

I know we all thought spring sounded logical, too, but still.

It makes more sense than people actually talking about this two album thing, which is just about the most WTF thing I've seen happen on this board in ages. Which is saying a lot.

*or we're all just feeling super kind and generous toward one another in this brief moment of calm before the storm tomorrow

Seriously, the collective agony at Bono's comments on Thursday night followed by endless dissection of James Mercer's comments was a baffling 180. Gee, who should we take more seriously as an insider on this matter? Maybe it's because most of the grief was from those of us in here that journeyed over there at the time.

Its quite amusing that so many folks in that thread take one vague quote and spin it into 2 albums are coming when its painfully obvious this band has serious closure issues and we'll be lucky to get one album before Obama's term is up.

I think some people (*cough*certainlynotmenoway*cough*) are willing to grab onto anything that resembled anything that had a snowball's chance in hell of being a good thing.

Probably not as much with Bruce, but definitely a goodly percenatge with PJ.

But yeah, I assume no Acrobat for me ever, I guess I can take some solace in the likelihood that its no Acrobat for anyone ever. (No I can't, the bastards should learn to play it live).

I figured that since I got Thundercrack and I've only seen Springsteen 5 times, you'd have some crazy list.

I know I'm just being pissy. I came in here expecting to find a leak and you lot have let me down. Get crackin! lol

To be fair I guess I have to be honest and say I wouldn't actually want to hear them attempt Heartland at this point, no way Bono can do the recording justice sadly.

Yeah, Heartland would've been amazing on Lovetown or ZooTV, but Bono hasn't had the vocal ability to do it properly since. At least they could get away with Acrobat. That said, if it happened I'd lose my fucking mind.

The big ones I want to hear are:

A Sort of Homecoming
Heartland
Gone
Acrobat
Zooropa
Twilight
Spanish Eyes
Love Is Blindness

I still can't believe I've actually heard One Tree Hill, Gloria, The Unforgettable Fire, and The Electric Co.

I first saw TUF in 85. One of my favorite all time songs. Glad it came back on 360, though wasn't super crazy about the new arrangement. I will say I thought Wire was the song from that album that was the best live song from it on that tour.

You heard Wire, too? Fuck, man, if only I'd have seen them one tour earlier….but I guess fans of their early stuff can say that about every tour they missed.

Agreed on the arrangement of TUF but it was one of those deals where in the end, the joy of hearing it again severely outweighed all other considerations. Hello, Zooropa was missing verses but, again, I was blissful over hearing it at all.

Yeah, Zooropa was far from perfect but I certainly wasn't complaining and TUF-->COBL made a pretty stellar run along with the lighting.

There's a suggestive joke to be made in there about seeing me looking blissful ......

.... but I'm not going to hunt for it.

You're welcome.

I originally had a joke in the post about me being so much shorter than you instead, but that somehow came out sounding even worse.

And we'll always have the moment when I tried to give you a wad of money for the douchebag ticket in front of a huge crowd of people. "HI, LOOK AT ALL THIS MONEY I'M GIVING YOU."

Talking about 360 still kind of stings though, my car broke down the weekend of Moncton.
