We have it, too, Weldy. :wave: And I've gotten quite into "Copper"--check it out. They also have "Battlestar Gallactica" reruns, as well as the European "Top Gear"--the version I came to know and love when I was in Ireland, not the crap they have here.

Just got off of a 25 min call with an AT&T rep. They don't know where my order is. It's not in the system. While we were on the phone I used the house phone to call my dad and as to break into his email just to double check his spam folder to see if I had received an acceptance letter. Apparently for an iPhone you have to electronically accept your order. No emails. The rep could not get in touch with my store rep either but as far as she's concerned she can see that a request was made for my phone but she thinks that something got screwed up on the store's end of it. :happy: I was really happy with the service I received in the store and this person on the phone was also very nice, incredibly patient with me while I called my dad twice(I've had places tell me to call them back after I have all of the correct info :happy: ), and is now going to call back in an hour (so she says). So I can't complain about their customer service other than the really nice guy at the store effed up and forgot to do something. I was wearing my Vikings hoodie and this was the day after the Packers lost to Seattle. He wanted to talk football. But you'd think that since I got a contract and a receipt and the pending charge for my $1.06 showed up on Tues that he did this all right but I guess he must have forgotten to hit the final option. So now my phone that I was supposed to receive no later than today is in some sort of unknown hold situation.

What I'm wondering after all of this....:shifty:....since there's been a huge delay I wonder if they'll let me change it from black to white before it ships. :reject:

ok so the at&t rep actually did call me back but only 2 hours later than she said. At that point I was in a meeting with a potential consultation job and I couldn't talk to her. I did let the two people I was meeting with know that I had a missing iPhone and needed to take a call if they actually called back. Of course the minute I sat down with them, she called. The at&t lady said she'd call me back in an hour....and did not. Yeah so anyways I tried calling the store on my own and kept getting a recording. So now I'm annoyed. I pass this particular store on my way home from work so I'll just go there tomorrow. In a perfect world they would change my phone from black to white and then overnight it since they've screwed up many times now. But I doubt either will happen. Unfortunately for me my current provider does not carry the phone I want or I'd say screw you at&t. But I need them more than they need me :happy:

I just want my phone so damn bad. :sad: I've been drooling over it since they first came out 5 years ago. But at that point I was a culinary student with very limited funds and also in the middle of a contract with a non iPhone provider. So now the time has come for me to finally get one and no one seems to know why it hasn't shipped yet. :angry:
 
Sprint does not work anywhere inside of my house :der: I had them for all of 4 days last year. When I called to inquire of this issue (outside from the driveway) they asked if I lived by a mountain. :der: Um...no. I live near 10,000 lakes but there are no mountains in Minnesota. So I went back to T Mobile. I've never had a single issue with them in 12 years of being their customer so it's a shame for them they can't carry the phone I want or I'd stick with them for life. My friend lives about 30 minutes from here and my T Mobile phone does not work in her house but her family of 4 all of Sprint phones and they work just fine. :|

Verizon would be an option but my brother has them for his work phone and says he gets a lot of dropped calls.

No issues around my 'hood with AT&T or T Mobile so if I'm going to switch from T Mobile I should just go with AT&T.

I'm sick....probably a sinus infection but it was going away over the weekend with cold pills. I haven't been able to take anything but Tylenol since Sunday because I had to work my part time job both Mon and Tues and that requires getting up at 4:30 am :crack: Cold pills tend to keep me up. I work my other job the rest of the week and can sleep until 7:00.

Anyways after work I went to the phone store. I had to be put on a waiting list that took me 20 minutes to finally get called to the counter. The guy that checked me in at the door was the manager and I clearly sound like I'm sick so I told him about my situation and that I wasn't happy that I had to come all the way in since I'm sick just because they don't answer the store phone. He knew I was pissed so once my name was called by the person that was going to help me, he came along to assist. I must have stated a few more times that I'm in the store because they don't answer their phone and the only recording they have is one that automatically takes you back to a main menu from hell. They had no idea why the 800# lady yesterday told me I needed to accept my phone via email because I accepted it in the store last week, that's how I got my receipt. They also are unable to track my phone :happy: They do know that it shipped....they just don't know when. But they are certain I should get it today. I asked how they knew that if they don't know when it shipped and neither one could give me an answer. :der: Of course in the middle of all of this I came down with a dry cough attack that would not go away even with a cough drop. So I couldn't talk much but I think I got my point across that I'm sick and shouldn't have to drag my ass into the store all because they don't answer the phone, which by the way was ringing off the hook while I was in the store. The manager finally tells me that it's iPhone season and they're swamped so they are unable to answer the phone. I wanted to say if it's that busy they should staff someone just to man the phones during iPhone season but I was too busy coughing. I did come from work and I do pass this store to go home so it's not like I had to crawl out of bed to go there. But I really felt awful at work this morning so having to make this stop was completely aggravating for me.

I get to go back to the store once I get my phone so they can switch it to my number :happy: Can't wait to get it and be done with them.


OK just checked my bank and they finally charged me the $1.06 but it says yesterdays date so unless they are overnighting this I don't think I'm getting my phone today. :sigh:
 
I know everyone is dying for an update :happy:

No phone today, as I suspected. It would have been much easier for me to get the phone yesterday or today in order to get back to the store to get everything switched over. The rest of this week is really going to be a pain in the ass for me to get over there, especially Thurs or Fri. If I don't get it tomorrow it looks like I might just need to wait til Sat to go there (that is, if I get it by Sat!).

I can't hear the doorbell from my bedroom since it's down in the dungeon. But I didn't wait upstairs by the front door with Wesley the cat on the lookout for a delivery truck or anything today :shifty: :reject:

Jumping in on the convo here...we had TMobile for internet for the last year and they SUCKED signal wise. Thank GOD it wasn't tour season.

When Mr CK bought me my Galaxy, it was through AT&T and I've had zero problems. In fact, we recently added HIM a smartphone to the plan and added internet for the laptop as well. (Hello, glorious shared data option!) It is SO much faster, and never drops. Only complaint I would have is that we can't access the wifi in our house but I'm not surprised since I can never get ANY wifi network to connect in this ancient housing. We live in a house that is probably close to 100 yrs old and has been converted from a 2-story house into a duplex with an upper and lower apartment; we live in the lower one on the ground level. Whenever it storms, 99% of the time our power goes out. Something tells me our landlord wasn't the smartest when it came to choosing an electrician. :huh:

But that's my 2 cents...carry on. :twocents:
