"Broad" is a 1950's era semi-derogatory term for women. Not one of his better efforts.
I would equate it with chick, doll, dame, babe, etc.

I'm rather direct and outspoken, and if I see something as wrong or just disagree I tend to speak up about it. Guess he wasn't used to being spoken to like that by a woman. I know that it rubs some people the wrong way, but mostly it is because I'm right and that their conscious doesn't like it. Ah well, the internet is full of people like him. Haters gonna hate. 
I think it usually has an adjective placed before it that leaves little question as to whether or not the speaker has any respect for the lady being spoken of (ie "dumb", "stupid", "fucking", etc). So yeah, it's probably better left out of the sentence.
Especially if you really are Nice, man.

Why do people keep assuming that the problem was that he put it on ebay?
for the millionth time: It's NOT.
The problem we have with him is his attitude, the fact that he's proud of himself wanting to get the big bucks rather than make another fan happy and claiming we'd all do the same. THAT is what rubs me the wrong way, not the fact that he's throwing shit on ebay.
)The thing about Interference ... well, yeah. We've got our own special brand of crazy over here. We do have people who really like to argue, and sometimes new posters get unfortunately chased away. That bums me out.
We also, on the other hand, have a lot of good discussions about a variety of topics.
But we have a lot of people who have made their "home" here, and who post here regularly. If people come here and find they like it, that's awesome. But if people come here and discover it's not really the place for them, for whatever reason, then that's the internet. There are other places to search out and see what fits them better. Not every forum is a good fit for everyone.
I like the way it's organized, I like that it's easy to read. I find that some of the other sites are difficult to read and to navigate. And they're also not as active, from what I can see (which maybe just means we're just more obsessed here. Ha.).
Anyway. I just find it weird that people need to point out how "awful" Interference is, and that we have a reputation or whatever among online U2 fans. I don't think anyone here really cares if we're the best site for U2 fans or anything.
We just like it here.
Or we like it here sometimes and other times it makes us want to claw our eyes out, but we keep coming back anyway because the fun outweighs the crazy.
