Even if you don't want the job back, I think you should at least put in a call to HR to let them know about this. That manager, at the very VERY least, should at least be ... I don't know. Disciplined? Written up? But you should at least let someone higher up know what happened.

Are you serious? I don't understand how that has ANYTHING to do with your work performance. It makes NO sense. I mean, besides the fact that it's illegal, why would it make sense to fire someone who's diabetic? It's not like it affects your work performance AT ALL, exept for the occasional trip to the bathroom (which wouldn't even happen anymore, now that you have a pump). Maybe you should have copped to being bulemic - would he/she have fired you then?
