I have only listened to GOYB, and have avoided the 30 second clips. I have also not listened to NLOTH2. However, yesterday I was watchin the Sean O-Hagan clip and they had some music playing in the background from what appeared to be one of the Fez sessions. I hope it wasn't a song. Again, I only heard it once for about 30 seconds, then stopped it. I can't even remember what it sounded like.
I think two years ago I listened to one beach clip for twenty seconds but stopped it. Plus, I couldn't hear shit anyway.
Haha, we all sound like Catholic teenagers rationalizing away our first sexual experiences, convincing ourselves we're still "pure"..LOL.
All in all, I agree with a poster on page 8. The entire rush of buying the album at the store, racing home, going through the booklet, the smell of the plastic case, seeing the art on the CD, popping it in, and that firsh rush of not knowing what you're about to hear is priceless. Quite frankly, there aren't too many opportunities left to do it either with U2 getting up there in age and taking longer amounts of time to put out albums.
Both ATYCLB and HTDAAB were somewhat ruined for me b/c there were no surprises. I listened to everything. The last album that was new to me was POP - I had only heard Discoteque.
This time, I'm holding out!

I listened to NLOTH 2 since it's not the album version, so it's technically not on the album. I have not heard the Wal-Mart clips and I haven't listened to the beach clips on YouTube since November; I couldn't make much of them, anyway. If the album leaks, I am not going to listen. That would spoil everything.

Ok, so, in case you didn't know it, THE ALBUM HAS LEAKED.
This is fantastic news if you've been waiting rabidly. I, however, need to hold off until at least this Friday, since I have made a solemn pact with my cousin that we shall share the first listening together in mutual blissful intoxication.
But come the fuck on. The thing's OUT THERE. It's Wednesday morning. How am I going to hold off????
I'm sure there are others here who're in the same spot as me. Friends, we need to stay together at this time. Only united shall we stand.
Hold hands with me, and repeat: "I shall not listen to the NLOTH leak". Again, and again, until you need to.

Yep me too... I waited 4 1/2 years for this... right after work tomorrow... it has to be perfect... my hubbie and i are gonna drive to a nice view in the mountains, with a bottle of wine, blasting on the car stereo....

LET'S DO THIS! I really want to wait so that my first listen is "pure." I am soooo excited that fans first reaction seems to be OVERWHELMINGLY positive based on the comments posted in the discussion/review thread. I am one who LOVES Atomic Bomb and I'm pretty lonely around here in that view so it's very encouraging that people seem to initially think this album is great!
Still waiting till release date here.
yep me to- want an official version of it to listen to- so will be either 1 march (if i tunes comes out early) or 2 March when I get the cd- but the next week or so will be quite tough
