Great stuff. Hopefully he's suddenly raking in gazillions so he can properly fight Romney in Florida? Gingrich stealing it would be a dream. Hilarious.
i don't know how much of a dream it would be... i think he might actually be able to win.

Win the whole thing? Really?
I actually think that campaign could be the kind of showdown you probably need. No doubt (obviously, and especially in the south) he's currently campaigning far further to the right than he would be in a general election, but it would still be, I think, a 'good thing' if he won the nomination and stood ground on a lot of the shit he's been saying into the presidential campaign, and you had a very clear choice between the two very clearly, very different visions of what your country was/is/could be/will be. And that's with Obama sitting where you would expect - where he always has been, bang in the middle. And if Obama doesn't sit perfectly in the middle, but thinks "Fuck it guys, lets lob some stuff from the left" it gets perhaps even better in terms of a showdown, but obviously more risky for him (e.g. think about Obama making pro-same sex marriage, something he'll likely 'come around to' in a second term anyway, a campaign issue this year in the face of how Gingrich would handle the anti - in my view, couldn't ask for a better opportunity).
If the good people of the United States are given that choice, and the majority go with Gingrich, then I'm sorry, but I seem to have completely misjudged you. I would expect it would be an absolute bloodbath to Obama. And as some sort of ultimate referendum, it could be great. Nominate Romney, and especially if he then goes on to lose - then the right wing will just keep on keeping on, no doubt far, far worse too. They got shafted with Romney, then shafted with a second Obama term. They'll be ten times as livid and irrational as they are now. Give them the kind of nominee they want, spouting all the shit they want to hear, and then have him comprehensively - fairly, undeniably - renounced and destroyed... pretty good, no?
Plus, hugely entertaining for the non-American viewer. Obama v Romney risks being a hugely boring steady chess game about taxes and jobs (good luck to you and your economy, but... snoooze...). Obama v Gingrich would be fucking mad.
if Gingrich is the nominee Obama will win much bigger than in 2008, and the Dems will likely keep the Senate and possibly win back the house. Gingrich is toxic outside the heart of the GOP base, and the man most responsible for transforming the GOP into the party ofracismresentment andrevengegrievance.
all that said, if there were another economic collapse, another terrorist attack, or some other mass calamity that could be pinned on the president, then we would find ourselves in a much different world.
he crushed the competition, and the moderators, in that debate. if he's able to do the same thing to obama, he could get a lot of the middle ground.
Newt's polling below Obama in TEXAS.
chris christie will pretty much spend the next 4 years trying not to fuck up.
i'm not saying i'd vote for him, and i'd be frightened for all of us if we had a president newt...
newt just dominated in a highly evangelical state the day after it came out that he wanted an open marriage with his second wife so that he could keep fucking his mistress.

no, not the independents... the baby boomers sitting at home who are seeing their retirement funds shriveled away, aren't very political except always vote for the president... not stupid but don't follow this shit like it's their jobs like many of us do...
combine that with a very large "anyone but obama" vote from the republican base, and a lethargic turn out from those that put obama over the top 4 years ago, especially the young vote?
yea... i don't think it will happen, but i can see how it could. stranger things have happened.
the man's a cockroach. just when you think the fucker's dead and gone, he's sitting at 1600, and the rest of us are all scratching our heads wondering how the fuck it happened.
They alone will completely fuck up the vote and force the independents and moderates to come out in large numbers for Obama, no matter how fucked up the economy is or how many times Barry plays golf, or Michelle and entourage takes one of their fabulous globetrotting vacation$ at our expense. Imho.
presidents golf and take "fabulous globetrotting" vacations at "our" expense as well.
Mrs Garrison, do you really believe all these Sean Hannity talking points?
Vacations, Ayers, golf... This is what these talking heads are saying on a daily basis. I just didn't think anyone outside the nut job right even gave these a second thought. You don't seem like one of them, so I've found these points being sprinkled in your posts to be confusing.Mrs. Garrison said:Why do you ask? I don't listen to Sean Hannity, is this his material? Or is it all fabrications because the Obama's have never taken a vacation?
Im curious...did you bother reading my entire post?
Also, you are cherry picking my post. Did you catch the part where i said i would campaign for Obama?

Newt is now pulling ahead in Florida. Seriously. I have no idea what people see in him. Hell, even my hardcore Republican mother can't stand him. To be fair, she really dislikes all of them, but still.
