Just checked the fixture lists. We play u at Scum Park on 17th Dec. The day after my birthday! Early kick-off again.

1-0 earlier in the season if memory serves me right?

I'm probably going to go to that. i went last season and we lost 1-0 to a ryan giggs goal. well annoying, we didn't create much though tbf. Great atmosphere as always, i'll try and get a seat in the mighty Holte End this time.

enjoy that birthday while you can, sucker :dancing:

well he scored at the weekend with a beautiful goal of almost sexual quality.

meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan Barosh's Aston Villa Timeline runs like this:

*Signs for 6.5mil
*scores on his debut
*gets injured playing for Czech Republic :madspit:
*returns from injury and scores in first game back

Not bad for a "european stage but little else" player

Also, I read yest. that Djemba Djemba is on his way? That didnt last long did it! I bet Fergie was really worried that he wouldnt be able to offload one of his most embarrasing buys....then David rang!

lol Djemba Djemba is up there with our worst signings.......de la cruz, crouch, balaban ect...

the guy just brought nothing to our team.

here's hoping birmingham sign him!

i see our friend Dunphy (who wrote U2's unforgettable fire) has been at it again.....

Dunphy rants at Keane dissenters

November 24, 2005

Eamon Dunphy, the ghost-writer of Roy Keane’s autobiography and close friend of the Cork man, became embroiled in a heated studio argument with fellow pundits John Giles and Liam Brady during RTE’s Champions League coverage on Wednesday night.

The pre-match build-up to the Liverpool-Real Betis tie became a side issue as the Keane topic once more took centre stage.

Dunphy took issue with Brady over claims that Keane had manipulated the media in an attempt to elicit a new contract from Manchester United, and was livid that his fellow pundit, an Arsenal legend and coach at the Gunners’ youth academy, could not recognise that Thierry Henry and Patrick Vieira had done the same thing to land big-money contracts at Highbury.

The controversial broadcaster also criticised an article published in the Sunday Times at the weekend which called Keane “a thug”, while he labelled former Irish international Niall Quinn “an idiot” and ripped off his microphone before anchor Bill O’Herlihy stepped in to steady the ship.

For many viewers, the ensuing snorefest at Anfield bore little in the way of entertainment compared to the studio heckles beforehand.

WOMAN'S DIARY:

  Friday 18th November 2005

Saw him in the evening and he was acting really strangely. I went
shopping
in the afternoon with the girls and I did turn up a bit late so
thought it
  might be that.

The bar was really crowded and loud so I suggested we go somewhere
quieter
to talk. He was still very subdued and distracted so I suggested we go
  somewhere nice to eat.

All through dinner he just didn't seem himself; he hardly laughed and
didn't
seem to be paying any attention to me or to what I was saying.

I just knew that something was wrong.

He dropped me back home and I wondered if he was going to come in; he
hesitated but followed. I asked him again if there was something the
matter
but he just half shook his head and turned the television on.

After about 10 minutes of silence, I said I was going upstairs to bed.
I put
my arms around him and told him that I loved him deeply.

He just gave a sigh and a sad sort of smile. He didn't follow me up
but
later he did, and I was surprised when we made love. He still seemed
distant
and a bit cold, and started to think that he was going to leave me and
that
he had found someone else. I cried myself to sleep.

BTW - the new television contract is what has really hurt Glazer.

The new tv contract isn't what glazer had in mind. What I said is, I think he's hoping for sole, exclusive TV rights for matches broadcast from OT, don't think thats an impossibility, theres already been rumours of a possible date in the Euro courts about ways of getting it pushed through, yes that could take a long time, but that was my initial point.
Secondly, I know I have the benefit of hindsight here but with vodafone jumping ship, and strong rumours of more to follow, glazers business plan is sinking fast, he borrowed hundreds of millions, on a business plan that at worst saw Uniteds finances staying at least the same as before he tookover, most of his borrowing was from hedge funds, companies who specialise in RISKY lending, the clauses in these debts should send a shudder through anybody who supposedly supports UNITED, these companies, when not if glazer defaults, WILL SELL any asset at UNITED, in order to get there money back, they will own whatever % of United, that glazer has defaulted on.
I will not bother posting another message on this or any other board, so don't bother reply with your usual immature "wit" just open your fucking eyes!!!
