An Adam Birthday Story....(this is TRUE btw)
Okay, so tonight my mom and I went out to eat and we're sitting there listening to her friend play his guitar (he works at this place) and the dialogue went a little something like this...
MOM: So, what are you up to tomorrow?
ME: Not much. It's Adam Clayton's birthday tomorrow and I was thinking of making some goodies or something...I have lots of work I have to get done, so I'll probably be doing that too...you know, just general fun stuff *smile*
MOM: *laugh* Yeah, sounds like a lot of fun! But I wouldn't mind cookies for this Adam guy...he's the bass player for U2 right?
ME: Yep!
MOM: How old does he turn tomorrow?
ME: 42
MOM: Hey, that's how old I turn this year! Do you think I'd have a chance with him? *wink*
ME: You'd have to fight me for him! *laugh*
MOM: *laugh* Well, I just might fight you for him...he's a pretty sexy guy! I think ALL bass player's are sexy! *wink*
(Sidenote: My mom plays the bass

ME: Well, most of them *laugh* I'm gonna run to the bathroom...be right back!
*So I go to the bathroom and when I get back this is what happens...*
MOM: I have a little surprise for you...
ME: *embarrassed* What? It's nothing big I hope...
MOM: You'll see *smile*
ROYCE (The friend who is playing the guitar): This song was requested in honor of Adam Clayton's birthday tomorrow, and we have an Adam Fan in the audience *looks right at me and winks*
*Then he proceeds to play an incredible version of "One" that almost brings me to tears*
*The song ends and I clap wildly for Royce and smile like an idiot cause I'm so happy*
MOM: *wink* So, did you like your surprise?
ME: Thanks Mom! *laugh* It's not even MY birthday and I feel the love!
MOM: *laugh* Now, in exchange for that, you are obligated to make cookies for a birthday party tomorrow!
So I'll be making cookies and getting warm fuzzies cause I have a wonderful mom and wonderful friends with whom to celebrate things with!
