i recommend this issue, a very good read and very cool pictures by Anton Corbjin.
but, on page 113 in the blue column, Joe O'Herlihy misplace a Popmart date, "recalling" a show in Munich 97 in front of 87.000 people.
firstly, U2 didn't play Munich that year, and secondly the Popmart tour didn't sell out any German stadium.
still, the incident Joe talks about sounds pretty funny, as both he and Edge pressed a pedal at the same time, making the audio disappear for the longest 2 minutes in his U2-career as a sound man.
so, what i'm trying to find out now is, what Popmart show were Joe actually talking about???
my strongest bet so far is the Mannheim 31 July 1997 show, as Edge drops out during the climax of End of The world, and the piano intro to New Year's Day also sounds pretty weird.
any other suggestions??
