Thanks all. I'm feeling a little better about the situation now. I'm still upset about it all, but I hope that with time she'll realize that I didn't do this to hurt her, but because I needed clarity so I could move past my hurt.

Unfortunately I'm afraid there's going to be some time where we just don't talk to each other for a while, but I hope it's not too long. She means too much to me.
