The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.

One week 'til my show and trip is now in jeopardy.
Dog is in the animal hospital awaiting a consult with an ophthalmologist. Might have to do surgery, already spent more on her the past 2 weeks than the whole Vegas trip cost including anticipated gambling money.

FML.

Love and hugs! [emoji120]

They want to find the highest price they can sell them at quickly. I’d expect them offered up soon after general sales begin.

They could easily still sell them for hundreds of dollars. Even with everyone complaining about spending $500 on screen obstruction... when they bought the tickets they bought them for 100 level seats to a U2 show, not for the top of the screen. People are only bitching because they hope it will get them better seats or money off their purchase or whatever.

Is it worth requesting Red Zone if you REALLY want to get tickets?

I ask because the Feb 17-18 weekend is the one I can make, and the demand should be high. And, if paying 2x as much as GA can lock me into a show . . . what the hell.

As of now, I've requested a pair of GA for the 17th and 18th. Trying to think of how to maximize my chances. And, the Red Zone viewing area looked pretty sweet.

If I recall, Red Zone requests had a very low success rate in the previous presales.
There are 50 tix per show.

Man, to have been alive in the 60s with single digit concert prices. I would hope that if they tour, tix would be a little cheaper than this, but I wouldn’t hold my breath. I already skipped blink 182 and the chili peppers last time around because GAs were like $600 and $400 respectively. I did buy foo fighters ones, they were $240. :/ Oh yeah, I also skipped the postal service anniversary show because tix were $180.

Anytime I look at concert or sports ticket prices these days I wonder how they are able to sell out. Can't believe there are that many people that can shell out that kind of cash, especially these days when everything else is so expensive. The bubble has to pop at some point doesn't it?

You could walk in at showtime and stand right in front of red zone for $332 cheaper than paying for red zone tickets

What upset me most about the robber escort is that she left the show so early, but I guess that was her only opportunity for robbin’.

Just put in request for shows in Jan/Feb. Hope they are still giving priority to Ultra members.
Throwing in the towel on Wednesday. Can't leave the pooch in her current state.

Feel badly for you but you are doing the right thing. So many dogs don't get that, even from their owners. Bless you for that.

Are you going to be able to get your hotel and flights refunded ? What about the tickets, can you transfer them and sell?

I have to believe you will get the new tickets, it's going to happen.

Got the prepaid parking at Logan canceled and refunded.
Canceled the hotel, supposedly will get deposit back 7-10 days.
Flying Southwest so can cancel and get a flight credit.
Waiting just in case they send out confirmations quick (like tomorrow) and I can just switch flight dates if that's the case (might have to pay a little fare difference, but already checked and flights aren't terribly expensive)
Going to put the tickets up on face value ticket exchange at some point this weekend as they are GA and that's the only (legit) option.

So, if presale comes through with a new pair of GA for one of the added shows, my costs won't be too much different (also looked at the hotel rates, used that and flight costs as a guide to pick and prioritize the 5 shows I selected).
Fingers crossed. (Just have to avoid spoilers for an additional 3 moths, ugh).

And thanks for your words about the dog. (everyone else too). She's family, so have to make sure she's OK.

Sorry to hear you're not going to go this time round but totally get why you're doing it. Dogs are the best.
