If they do release the album as a surprise during the game, I wonder if Goodell can create a blackout again to give me time to listen to it.

The album is delayed because U2 is rehearsing for Coachella

Does Bono have to try to be the centre of attention all the time? Let Larry speak man. And please stop trying to tell everyone how wonderful they are...What happened to the Bono that had balls and that we all loved and admired so much.

They all spoke when they won the award, and Bono spoke last.

He still had to be the dominating figure by telling each of them to say something. FFS Bono, Larry is going to punch you in public one day and you would have deserved it.

Are you serious? You think Larry wants to speak more? Really?

He's a frontman, that's how they work, very few rock bands have the quiet shy frontman.

And what does this have to do with balls? Bono has ALWAYS been like this... are you a new fan?

It's almost as if the Golden Globes TV crew was paid to feature U2 tonight. How many times did we see Bono and/or The Edge in reaction shots? Plus the bit with Poehler?

Weird. But great promo for them.

It's as if some of you live in a vacuum... Yeah, lead singers like attention, it's why they're lead singers and yes golden globes(and every other award show) focuses on award winners in the audience.

Bono has taken it too far imo. I remember during some award ceremony, Edge was in the middle of giving a speech, and Bono cut him off by saying I am the singer I do the talking, and went on to produce another borefest of a speech. Man I miss Bono of the 90s, the guy who you would rely on to light up these boring events with a mind blowing speech etched with a bit of controversy. I know we are all fans and love the band, but sometimes you just have to call it the way you see it.
