I love it when Edge's guitar starts tearing shit up at 3:08. Wish the contrast had sounded that intense on the record.

Wait, so you guys actually met and spent time with iron yuppie? And he's not a serial killer?

Doubtful. The only thing iYup packs is a thesaurus.

We managed to go that entire 45 minute conversation without referencing The Simpsons or The Jazz, so I almost don't want to count it.

I definitely enjoyed meeting iYup. Wish we could have gone out. Travis will be 21 spoon.

Friends texted me and asked to go out. Shots are a hell of a thing. I love music. The whistle song has played both times I've been to this bar, makes me laugh every time.. Time for next bar.

I'm still not an expert on using this Grooveshark shit.

Why do they often not have a full album available? It seems most of the time there are two or three tracks from an album's running order that just are not on there.

This is some god damn oppressive bullshit.

Listen.

All I'm trying to do is listen to the Achtung Baby bonus tracks that were released last year. Oh Berlin, Down All The Days, etc.

Why are these not in my iTunes? Why am I so hungover? Why is the sky blue?

Listen.

I like the early material of the band The Stone Roses, and there is absolutely fucking nothing any of you can do about it.

You mean stuff like So Young or Tell Me? If so, that makes two of us.

If you mean early material like the first album, that makes a couple of million of us.

Now the second album, that's a whole different thing altogether. I for one love it, warts and all.

i can't remember what stone roses i liked. i didn't like it that much.

Listen Jive, if you want to take this to the street and have a duel to the death by way of nunchaku or samurai sword...I'm ready.

The world only spins forward. I guess.

And GAF's head spins right along with it.

So wait, hold up, a twee band made a Hall and Oates cover album? Sometimes I underestimate the validity of hipster stereotypes.

That movie should be mandatory viewing for the U2 fans who like to follow them around in Europe.

BEWARE. Bono's not going to save you from sex traffickers.

It only takes one extra line to make PM into a really shitty looking AM.

I don't get it.

The world only spins forward.

This is so true that it's frightening.

Some people jumped on me for saying "the world only spins forward" that night that I was being a dick to you about archaeology. I'll set the record straight: It's a completely innocuous phrase. At least in my use of it. It means nothing. I just like saying it at certain times, as a kind of fun catch-all. I like the sound of it.

The phrase originated from the play/TV movie entitled Angels In America, about gay men living in Manhattan during the AIDS "plague" of the 1980s. One of my favorite works of art, ever. Check it out, if you have the time. Incredibly rewarding work of fiction. The play won a Pulitzer Prize, and the movie won every Emmy and Golden Globe in sight the year it came out.
