This comment made me laugh ...

and wince at the same time

ahhhaha

let me clarify

he's still very active, bites, and runs around
it's not like he's humping around or anything...

as I was watching TV last night, he jumped into my bed and tried (and sometimes managed to) bite me like 4 times

I snapped too quickly. He just sat up from a nap and I knew a huge yawn was coming. I missed it but he still looks cute :)

Zoey acts like I'm murdering her if I try to hug her.

Saki lets me smoosh the shit out of him. :cute:

yeah, dolemite freaks out when i try to hug him, but everything freaks him out. i think tabitha's the only one who will let me hug her.

here, the cats look at me like i'm nuts when i try to.

Moka is the most affectionate and cuddly cat I have ever had.. She loves being picked up and held for long periods of time, like a baby.. I walk around the house and do things with her in my arms.. I love that she is like this to a slightly lesser degree with my son. He is so happy to have that bond between them..

She is something else..

That is so cute! You're very lucky.

yeah.. it sure is lucky.. she definitely has all the characteristcs of a American Bombay (she is also doing pretty well with dog, very tolerant and always around her) they are know for this..

Bombay Cat Personality and Temperament
Like other pets, Bombay cats crave human attention. They have loud purs and very distinct “voices.” Some Bombay cats can be quite talkative and meow alot at times like when you get home from work or wake up in the morning, for example. The Bombay doesn’t get along too well with certain breeds of cats, but can tolerate others. Bombay’s get along well with dogs because of the natural “pecking order” they have. Also, Bombay’s typically prefer to live indoors rather than be an “outside-cat.”

Bombay’s are “heat-seekers”, they simply love to be warm. You’ll often find your Bombay sleeping in sunlight or next to heaters when its cold. Bombay’s often tend to sleep on their owners when lying down for the warmth.

Bombay’s love attention. The enjoy being held and being pet. Some Bombay’s even take on dog-like characteristics like playing fetch, for example. They enjoy being around people, but tend to select a certain someone to pay special close attention to. Bombay’s are also great with young children.

Overall, the Bombay is a sensitive and intelligent cat that is perfect for a first-time cat owner.

Bowie will let me hug him for whatever reason. He seems to like to be held in a cuddle position. But, once he's done being coddled, watch out.

So now all Grady will eat is tuna. But someone at work told me it's bad on their kidneys anyone know if that's true?

A regular tuna diet is not good for cats. It can be fed as a treat but they need cat food as it has the proper nutrients they need.

Maybe a fish or tuna flavored cat food would be better? I've heard that a real tuna only diet is bad too :(

Wally's Christmas present finally arrived today:

I want to get something like this for Wesley but I'm poor :grumpy: He would love it. Maybe I'll save up for his birthday in May :)

How old is Grady? When our cat MissPurrl got really elderly, tuna was all she would eat, too--the vet agreed that at 20+ years old, just getting her to eat with such gusto was an accompishment.

I just realized out of all of my family, Wally got the most expensive present  :uhoh:

arw, sometimes you can find them cheaper on ebay (Wally's was from amazon, but it did have free shipping).

I did find one on craigslist not too long ago that I wanted to go look at. The person said it was like new, as their cat was never interested in it. My mom flipped and said she didn't want a used piece of cat furniture in her house so I never went to see it. The joys of being a 30something year old teenager  I never thought to look on amazon. I just know he'll totally be into something like this so it's definitely on my list of things for him. He loves his scratching post and loves to climb high and then take a nap. I saw one that has a mouse or ball on a string that's attached to one of the shelves. That would be perfect for him. Maybe I'll see what the taxman brings and give him an early birthday present :)

I love the cat tree!!

I've ordered online from Armarkat and they're are very reasonable.

Wally's tree is a Molly & Friends brand. The main reason I went with them is because their trees come fully assembled and it was free shipping. Petsmart had some good Whisker City trees, but I couldn't fit any of the big ones into my car . I liked some of the Amarkat ones a lot, but I didn't trust myself to be able to put it together - I'm not mechanically inclined at all :reject:.

It was really slow at work before Christmas, so I did some cat tree shopping research :reject:

Awesome tree for Wally

looks like he's really enjoying it.

I think I'll get something like this for Keto.

Poor guy, the last few months have been hard on him. Ever since we had our baby he's had do a ton of adjusting and he's been a real champ about it so I think I'll get him tree like this.

the cat tree is awesome!
