I wish the band would be less stubborn and end concerts for this tour with a rock song.Moment of surrender is a great album track, but i think a The fly (with that stage) to end the evening would be just fantastic.

I just find that there's a contradiction with opening the gig with a greatest hit song but ending it with a NLOTH track.

Hmm, that's an interesting point! I'm usually with you, wanting a rocker to close, but I have to admit, I've come around to liking MOS as the closer.

^ I actually like it that they take it down a notch for the closer . . . can't imagine unleashing a stadium full of hopped up Vertigo heads on the world . . . quelle horreur . . . there would be dancing in the streets

Miss Sarajevo . . . lovely

So, this is my first time in this thread. What have I missed?

Why hello there

There has not been much happening today, so we pretty much were left on our own to keep ourselves busy.....topics have been ranging from setlist bitching, slaughtering of unicorns, bono's new long, white and ravishing hair-do, brownies, drugs and rock and roll and a whole bunch of etc. etc.

Apparently though there was some activity earlier today....
U2place - Prove in corso allo Stadio Olimpico!!! - Le notizie in italiano sugli U2

oh and the first page of the thread has other links to setlist info and rehearsal audio/video

Anyone care to add?

Hi Purple:) did you ever get to see Miss Sarajevo performed live? its awesome when Bono goes for the long note after he sings in Italian, I was holding my brethe when he hit that note hoping he would nail it and he did, everyone started cheering and clapping.

The thing about Miss Sarajevo is that I wish Edge would switch back to guitar again. It sounds a bit generic with him only playing the piano.

Heck, I knew it was two months, because that's about when those first pics of Bono post-surgery came out. Big deal.

That's not obssessive, that's just being aware of what month it is.

Thanks, you!!!

So no one has yet started conversation about whether Adam's hideous vest was burned for good? Because that's actually my main concern for the tour.

I guess I'll contribute to the setlist bitching and say that it's disappointing that only 4 songs from the latest album will be making the show. BUT, I do approve of adding songs from the POP era. That makes me happy. It'll be interesting to see this prospective set evolve.

 I was lucky enough to see it during the Vertigo tour . . . had goosebumps on goosebumps and tears in my eyes . . .and the man sitting in front of me (who was dragged along by his wife) turned around and gave me a hug :cute: . . . he'd been relatively non plussed up till that point (and a tiny bit annoyed with my OMGodding at high volume all the way through the show  ) but he was genuinely moved as well . . . it was a great moment
