Another turn-off: when a guy knows nothing about sports.

Me too. I am a guy and I just can't relate to guys who aren't into sports. I can talk about sports all day long, though I should spend more time in Put em under Pressure.

Anyway, Kevin Brown got shelled for six runs in the first inning tonight, so I had to turn off the Yankee game. Boy, Yankees are not doing good at all. They lost all three series during the last homestand and if it wasn't for Tony Womack's game-winning hit on Saturday, they could have been swept by the Toronto.

Okay, I'll stop.

Being a Red Sox fan, I don't have much sympathy for you.

Speaking of sports, another turnoff in a guy: when he's with a girl and he assumes that she knows nothing. I love when that happens actually, just to see the look on their face when they realize how much I know.

NEBRASKA CORNHUSKERS

Sorry, I'm sure they aren't a big name. But I am a diehard fan, even with all the .... stuff.... going on.

I don't find the NFL as interesting as it used to be, no pro BBall. BUt I am in NY, so I always get to see SOX and Yanks on the TV, at least.....

And yeah.,......

hygiene is really important.
YOu should also know how to spell it...... (I don't)

I never really thoght about it, but I always took it for granted, because the women around me take pretty good care of themselves. But others don't.

And guys, too....

- Lack of intelligence or anything interesting to say
- Arrogance
- Emotional immaturity
- Poor hygiene
- Short height - I'm 5'9" and solidly built and I'm almost never attracted to someone who's shorter than I am
- Overly pretty facial features

Not one of you mentioned the toilet seat...........:)

My boyfriend not only lowers the seat but actually closes the lid! It's a pet peeve of his for it to be left up! He also uses coasters religiously. I didn't know that the first time I went to his house...I set my glass on his oak table, and you would have thought I'd killed someone.

I would say the same... plus:
* too skinny
* bad teeth
* bad breath
* Momma's boys.. i don't care if the guy lives with their parents, but i don't like spoiled kids, i'm sorry
* poor Vocabulary... i'm not talking about cursing, but I can't stand someone who can't pronounce or build a decent sentence.
* too well dressed... like an abercrombie maniquie   ... i like them with some style.

I think it's like not wearing lables and designers all the time.

Whether or not that's what was meant, I don't like that personally. I don't know if I say it's a turn off for the opposite sex,but I find it irratating for myself to do it. Maybe that's because I go for more subtleness, or it might be my own form of rebellion because of where I go to school

But I can see how someone who only wears certain brands come off as being insecure, etc. I don't have enough expereince with it to know what my opinion is, though.

.......

My dad wears RocaWear.... that's his brand of choice.......

 :eyebrow:

*exits very quietly*

this whole sports thing got me to thinking. i don't think i could be with someone who couldn't appreciate my love of baseball and attend the occasional game with me.

that being said, if they were a football fan or something, i'd reciprocate and stuff. :sexywink:

Kick-Jack is a name I made up, it sounded funny when I said it out loud. Want to know how it gets even funnier? If someone is named Kick-Jack, and their last name is McGee. Kick-Jack McGee is a funny name, admit it.

Poor vocabulary was a good one for a turn-off. Funnily, while I LOVE sports, both to play and watch, it's not a turn-off for me if a person does not like sports....just as long as they do not HATE sports. And, Daygloeyes2, I work in a job with a lot of women who are knowledgable about sports, and they LOVE it when their knowledge is underestimated by some moronic guy.

Sincerely Yours,
Kick-Jack McGee

Wow, I actually feel encouraged.

None of the women have said

*baldness
*big nose
*small penis

My self-esteem has been boosted.

There is hope.

Did someone say 'reciprocate' !?!?! :)

And yes, Kick-Jack McGee.... I see the humor there, even if it doesn't sound like it from this sentance.

And yes..... RocaWear....
Sometimes having a sense of humor comes in handy...

I still think my biggest turn off is disloyalty. I'm not possessive, but it's just something that needs to be there for me. I would much rather be told things aren't working out, or just talk things over. But trying to play me for a fool, I don't tolerate that.

And I don't have adouble standard about it either. Just sort of.... "the golden rule", I guess. Heh.

It has something to do with emotional needs, as I understand, in addition to ehtics and morals.

The inability to trust and/or open up. I'm a needy person, I'll admit. But if I'm with someone who is similarly needy and open about feelings, the relationship usually goes a lot more smoothly and our collective neediness is significantly lessened.

haha.. that's true... i've started to feel worried about male baldness when i start dating a friend of mine... he's not bald (yet) but he doesn't have a lot of hair either and his dad is bald :uhoh:

big nose: I think is all about how it works with the rest of the face.. some guys look fine with their noses (like Bono, ) but some other look like Millhouse

Small penis... that's another relative thing... I would laugh (inside of me of course) if I see a guy with a peepee like my pinky finger, but I would get scared with a guy like one of those that you see in a porn movie. In fact if the guy have a large penis or not doesn't mean nothing, but you think about it ...

My boyfriend is balding, but I don't care. When I first met him, he flashed me this adorable smile, and I just melted on the spot...instant crush! He is so handsome.

OMG, that sounds like my dream man! I would love to know some more people who are not remotely interested in sport.

me too.

one serious pet peeve: people who are into sports, but spend more time watching them on the telly than they do actually participating in them. i can muster support and even enthusiasm for boys who actually play sports, but not so much for sitting on the couch watching other people play.

:agreed:

And I'll raise you one. People who watch the tv a lot. Just sit there like zombies and stare at it. Its even worse if they leave the tv on even when they are in another room and complain when I turn it off. If your are not watching it, turn it off!

I like the tv off, or preferably smashed into the centre of the freeway.

Baldness - doesn't bother me one bit.

Big nose is actually my own personal fetish when it comes to guys, :) Unless it looks like a huge misshapen potato, IMO a large nose can give real character to the face.

I agree with whoever mentioned Mama's boys. Especially those who let their domineering mothers keep them under her heel and have as much backbone as a jellyfish.

In general, the lack of assertiveness in a guy is a big turn-off. There's nothing attractive about some pushy bastard who treats people like dirt, but there's also nothing attractive about someone who puts up meekly with being treated like dirt.
