Well, yeah. Do you get anything out of the following films?
Frat Pack - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Dark Knight
Blair Witch Project.
I think I got the black lung, pop! *cough cough*
I'd much rather watch the 'Brat Pack' movies.
Seriously??
Batman & Robin - Arguably one of the most important movies of the past 15 years though
The Adventures of Rocky and Bulwinkle
Date Movie
The New Guy
The Island
The Island can't even possibly be one of the worst movies I've ever seen, because even though it's pretty awful, it still has the single finest action scene Michael Bay has ever filmed. Which isn't saying much, but it still automatically puts it above most of the other crap he's directed, The Rock aside.
Seriously what?
I don't know. For Michael Bay, it's just a surprisingly well-shot, well edited, visually sound action sequence that hits a lot of the right notes. Plus, ScarJo. But yeah, dreadful film. But is it honestly worst than the Transformers movies? Mmmmm, nahh.
Wild Wild West is an amazingly absurd film. So dreadful in so many ways, but the script is just so completely batshit insane I find it endlessly fascinating that it can even maintain existence in this Universe. Plus, Kenneth Branagh's performance is the pinnacle of entertainment.
I find mediocrity and boredom to be more of a problem than anything else. The Transformers movies are so offensively bad that they drift into B&R/WWW territory for me. Racist robots that make Jar-Jar Binks look like Barack Obama? Holy shit!
You need to listen to Kevin Smith talk about his experience with Superman. It sheds some light on the craziness of Wild Wild West.
I can understand that actually. Though I don't find anything particularly redeemable about Transformers 2, even in that regard. However, as mediocre and boring as it may be, surely you've seen a number of outright worse films... even ones that you simply can't derive any twisted enjoyment from? I don't know, The Island just strikes me as a somewhat strange target for this.
Link plz?
