hi. i'm sick of all of the bitch threads out there, so here's one where we can all talk about what we love about the tour.

what i love is that i've only got to wait 9 more days until boston 1!!!

That I attended all 4 chicago shows. I feel very lucky and blessed to witness my favorite band on tour, and to hear my favorite U2 song end their 4 night stand in chicago.

wow....i'm very jealous.

i've been praying for months that they will play bad when i see them...seeing it live is a truely spiritual experience.

Adam walking around the ellipse so much and smiling so much, I swear he was grinning through the whole show in Chicago. :hyper:

The awesomeness of the COBL opener w/ the confetti dropping.

The return of 40

The Boy set, never thought I'd be hearing Electric Co played in 2005.

All of the lighting, kind of excited to see the show from seats in the fall.

Love and Peace live, which I absolutely hated on the record. :slant:

Ack how could I forget the Love and Peace opener with the flashlights especially when you're at the tip of the rail. :faint:

I'm impressed with a lot of things about this tour.

Firstly the early songs. I really am happy with the way Electric Co, ACD and Gloria have turned out.

Secondly, I love the AB set.

Thirdly, I love the way some of the new songs have been presented, LAPOE, Vertigo/Stories for Boys and COBL.

Fourthly, am glad its not a greatest hits tour, making it even more special when we hear Bad, UTEOTW, WOWY etc.

And last but not least, the band is playing well and Bono is sounding good.

good thread

i love the COBL into Veritgo opening

i really like the curtain of lights, they are doing some really cool stuff with it these days

i love how all the new songs sound live

i love being along the rail at the tip

I can't believe how good Electric Co sounds on this tour!! Just wonderful!

Plus, they busted out An Cat Dubh and Into The Heart.

Plus, the fan involvement in Elevation is a real treat.

Plus, they're playing a super version of Mysterious Ways.

Plus, Adam seems to be as involved as he's ever been.

There's a billion things to love about this tour!

Also, its fun to look around the crowd and try to spot people wearing those $90 t-shirts!!

- LAPOE (Larry singing, Bono banging away on the drums :applaud: )

- Gloria  Zoostation

It's everything we asked for in the tour.

The return of Zoo Station! Seriously, a few months ago we were laughing at the idea of Zoo Station coming back, but here it is!

The return of 40! (See above)

The return of the old old songs like An Cat Dubh/Into the Heart, Gloria, ELECTRIC CO.

Amazing stage and lighting effects

The classic, stripped-down feel of the Elevation tour mixed in with the spectacle of ZooTV

Incredible setlist changes

and finally. . . Great bootlegs!

- performances of The Fly
- return of THE ELECTRIC CO., An Cat Dubh/Into the Heart, Gloria, RUNNING TO STAND STILL!!!(about time), Zoo Station
- Larry drumming better than ever(listen to the Chicago 4 bootleg)
- return of With or Without You(we haven't had a decent version since 1993)
- Adam going out on the ellipse
- performances of new songs; Love and Peace, Sometimes, City and Vertigo are plain amazing
- Bono's voice best since ZooTV
- use of backing tracks reduced to a minimum
- setlist changes(compare Anaheim 1, Chicago 3 and Chicago 4)
...and many more

1. The light curtains. They're fecking awesome.
2. The whole stage. The intimacy of Elevation but much grander. It may be lost in Europe though.
3. Zoo Station. Worst part about this is I'd also love to hear Until The End Of The World, I'd actually rather hear that, but they only play one of the two.
4. The Electric Co. With The Cry. Fecking amazing. That point of the show will see me jumping and screaming and going berserk the most.
5. The Love And Peace Or Else/Sunday Bloody Sunday/Bullet The Blue Sky combo. Rock on.
6. Running To Stand Still. My personal Joshua Tree favourite.
7. Mysterious Ways EACH night. Great.
8. The Fly, and the idea of an Achtung-encore.
9. That confetti sounds awesome.
10. Stories For Boys in Vertigo.
11. The return of "40".
12. Dropping With Or Without You from the set. Nice decision.
13. That I'm attending 4 concerts.

The fact that I'm finally getting to go this weekend! And then three times in the fall.

That they've been playing Bad (my all-time favorite), The Electric Co, Gloria, and other older tunes

That Adam is stepping out on the catwalk and getting the attention he deserves.

That folks on here have been great about helping to circulate recordings of the show.

More to come after I actually see the show for myself...

The City Of Blinding Lights, with Bono appearing in the middle of the arena with all the confetti.

Stories For Boys snippet in Vertigo.

The "false start" in Elevation.

Hearing The Electric Co. and Gloria.

ADAM CLAYTON.

Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own.

LOVE AND PEACE OR ELSE.

The drum at the tip of the ellipse.

Sunday Bloody Sunday being sung like it matters again.

The backdrop for Bullet The Blue Sky.

The Zoo slots during the first break.

Zoo Station, The Fly, and Mysterious Ways.

The stage and curtains during Zoo Station.

In fact, the stage and curtains in general.

Original Of The Species.

"How long, to sing this song?"

There are so many shows! "Let's see...i think i'll take a vacation to New York and go to 3 shows there, then Philly, then ...."

the new songs sound better live then on the CD
