velvet rain

[ACROB@T]

..truth a mortar for faded memory, distant heart
sent homeward over tommorows sky
never knowing what love may impart
along the path of a voyage left to dry
..life and deaths kiss entwined in scorched harmony
cradling the sun's blood it reluctantly cast
declined in stolen perception, twisted in obscurity
..collapsed beneath the fever we never passed
cascading so low we can never reach high
blinding this woken eye with the fear we take
washed across the depth of every sky
there is a distant faded dream that breaks..
its dew burnt scent lying thoughtless on the ocean..
when the night slips itself far away
shadows buried so deep left scarred in emotion
..their imitations held where they can never stay
below this candle etched of summers haunted cast
each held in its colours their regrets and tears..
its presence I felt more than others I'd past
burnt through life on this canvas of years
never a lie to deny or abide by..
..never to see the light of every day
never a thought for why I'd never thought why..
..never enough before you slipped away..
