My Friend from NY work in Universal, and he tell me the official order of the songs (wrote in a promo poster arrived last friday):

U2 - No Line on the Horizon
01 - Tripoli
02 - Get on Your Boots (First Single)
03 - Magnificent
04 - Moment of Surrender
05 - No Line on the Horizon
06 - Unknown Caller
07 - Stand Up Comedy
08 - Crazy Tonight
09 - Breathe
10 - Every Breaking Wave
11 - The Cedars of Lebanon
12 - Mercy (Bonus Track) UK , Australia and Japan

I Believe in this guy!!!!!

Mercy is Back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This tracklist is full of more shit than an elephant with his asshole sewn shut.

Though I could certainly imagine Mercy as a hidden track on all versions, after about 5 minutes of silence. Not considered as part of the album proper, but as a gift to impatient fans....

Wow, Mercy has so many die hard fans, I mean, I like it but i'm not some "put it on the album regardless" fan.

Regarding joaoclaudiobh's track listing, this could be coincidental, but it is not totally dissimilar to the list in this video, mentioned in a another thread:

No Line on the Horizon
Get On Your Boots
Moment of Surrender
Unknown Caller
Magnificent
Stand Up Comedy
Every Breaking Wave
Breathe
Crazy Tonight
Cedars (?)

No Line on the Horizon
Get On Your Boots
Moment of Surrender
Unknown Caller
Magnificent
Stand Up Comedy
Every Breaking Wave
Breathe
Crazy Tonight
{Provisionally titled song} (Tripoli or Winter?)
Cedars of Lebanon

Is this really a tracklisiting though or just a song listing of sorts....?

I never saw this clip but for those who have is this really supposed to be Tripoli? or is this just some song about Tripoli that I've never heard?

YouTube - Lanois, Eno and Bono in Fez, Morocco

ohhhhh wow I forgot about this....I hope this makes the album too...those vocals in album quality could be stunning....

fuck, there's just too much good shit coming out of U2 these days.....if only they could keep track of it all and put it all on this new record!!!

Mercy as bonus track? I was hoping it would be Winter. But then again Winter will be on the soundtrack album, that makes sense. I love Mercy, but I'm still not convinced they'd put it on an album.

frensh site www.suckingrockandroll.com/ announcing that today U2 present NLOTH at universal boss in london city

U2 | U2 présente No Line On The Horizon à Londres | Fonds d'écran | Sucking Rock And Roll

"C’est aujourd’hui, à Londres, que U2 présentera son nouvel album ‘No Line On The Horizon‘ aux dirigeants de Universal Music.

Bien entendu, cette écoute sera privée et peu de choses devraient en filtrer, mais si vous connaissez des gens spécialisés dans l’infiltration, c’est le moment de les contacter !"

Translation:

"It's today (Jan 13th) in London, that U2 will present its new album No Line on the Horizon to the heads of Universal Music.

Of course, this will be a private hearing and little should leak out of it, but if you know people who specialise in inflitration, it's time to contact them!"

I don't know how reliable is this site, I don't know it well. Maybe there will be a few private hearings today in different places?

The whiteboard video seems to have the track numbers listed beside each song.

Magnificent - 1
Every Breaking Wave - 2
Moment of Surrender - 3
Unknown Caller - 4
Crazy Tonight - 5
Get On Your Boots - 6
Stand Up (Comedy) - 7
Breathe - 8
orn (Prov) - 9
No Line on the Horizon - 10
Cedars of Lebanon - 11

Predictions: When do you think they'll announce a tracklist?

The release of the new album is less than 2 months away. When do you think U2 will announce the final tracklist?

HTDAAB was released on 22/23 November 2004; its tracklist was announced on either 27 or 28 September, I forget which. So NLOTH is already well behind that schedule. Hell, we haven't even had an official announcement of the GOYB single - in contrast, Vertigo was announced on or around 10 September for a 24 September release.

Since GOYB's release is so imminent, I'm betting its announcement will be before the weekend, then since U2.com will be getting increased traffic in the wake of GOYB's airplay, they'll capitalise on that and soon post NLOTH's entire tracklist.

I think the tracklist will be announced within the next two weeks. The video for GOYB should be out within the same amount of time I guess. I hope itunes releases the single next week like they did when Vertigo came out.

Hope so, i'm saving the few $3 left in my account thing for the new single, but I have this urge to spend it.

No Line on the Horizon
Get on your boots
Moment of Surrender
Unkown Caller
Magnificent
Stand Up
Every Breaking Wave

Crazy Tonight

Cedars Of Lebanon

UK Bonus Winter

It seems like we got the majority of the songs...except for one. If that video on U2.com is correct (the whiteboard one) then we have a pretty good idea what the song order might be.

I think we'll probably get the final list sometime following the Brit awards. Once people start seeing U2 in public again and the attention goes back to them we should start to get final album and tour details.
