The moment. Thanks to who posted this. I think I know who you are. You guys were there for as long as I was. If you're the same person, thank you also for making sure I got up front instead of others just getting there pushing in.

I was at the 2nd Giants Stadium show on Thursday and, wow, it was amazing. Took my aunt who is a big music lover and has been to tons of concerts in her time, and she couldn't stop telling me how this was the greatest concert she had ever been too. I'd have to agree.

I had GA and we got to the line later than I wanted, at around 4:30. So I never thought I'd get a good spot. WRONG. I don't know how, but we got inside the circle, right on the front rail on Edge's side! I got a bunch of amazing shots of Edge. Bono spent a nice amount of time on the bridge on Edge's side. In fact, that's where he pulled the little boy up during COBL.

Say what you will about songs like Vertigo and Elevation, but the crowd when insane when they started those songs. And, for a new and kind of odd song, the crowd was really into the Crazy Tonight remix...once they figured it out. At first I felt everyone who didn't know it was sort of "huh?" but it was so funky and cool it quickly won over the crowd.

I had my own little mini freak out when they played "Until the End of the World." I love that song something fierce and wasn't anticipating it. So, yayness!

I LOVE "Unknown Caller" on the record, but I wasn't too crazy about it live. And I wasn't sure about "Moment of Surrender" as the ender (and I REALLY love the song on the record, too). The other No Line songs were great, though, and I'd love to see them throw "Stand Up Comedy" in there. I know it gets crap, but it's a fun song and I think it'd rock live.

Bono's voice was in top form. Edge was great. Loved seeing Adam venturing out onto the rap at times. A lot of fun. Kind of cool that it set the record for Giants' Stadium attendance.

I do have to say that U2 fans are awesome. Got to talk to the group around us in the pit (aside from the slug who was standing next to me, who was twice my size--I'm quite tiny--and kept elbowing me to make me omove) and they were all so nice and friendly.

Oh, and someone from Muse had placed a lemon on their gear. Totally cracked me up so I had to take a picture of it. (I've been too lazy and tired to pull my pics off of my camera yet.)

I cannot wait for Vegas. I have seats (those mysterious field bleechers, lol) so it'll be awesome to see the show from a different perspective.

Yep, 2nd level behind stage looks much better than lower level. Looks like you could see over the equipment and find Bono's center stage position. :applaud:

I have been a huge U2 fan since 2005, NJ 2 was my first time seeing them in concert. The concert was amazing and topped other great concerts I saw this year. (Paul McCartney, Billy Joel and Elton John).

he did do a lot of name checking... i get annoyed when he name checks guys like springsteen and jagger, 'cause i instantly expect, nay, demand that they show up on stage with them at that point... and two nights in a row it didn't happen. boo to you, boner.

I heard "Jagger" but could not understand a single other name.

My one gripe about last night had to with the late arriving jackasses that had to push their way to the middle of the pit right before U2 was coming on. I understand that it's GA and what not, but don't stroll in at 8:55 and expect to get the exact spot you want cause you have douchey sunglasses and well tended to hair. A couple people over from got into a pretty heated exchange over the pushing that went on, but nothing more than words came from it...and the guy continuing to push his way to the middle.

I was on the back rail behind you (I believe) and dealt with the same jackasses.

I even had this woman step on my foot in the middle of Magnificent that had her own security detail walking with her. She apologized. I wish I knew who she was to have her own security detail following her around.

- met three Interferencers before and after the show: the utterly fabulous Maria, Joanne and Bonnie, thanks for feeding me and the lift back to Manhattan!

 Hopefully the ride was better than the train. It was nice to see you again! Your welcome for your soggy salad  (It did kind of hit the spot though!)

Ah that was you was it? Nice!

I was there too with Maria, Joanne and Bonnie but we got pushed out to the back of the crowd as everyone inched their way into mobbing him.

There are pictures and a short video in fan sightings.

Bono always forgets words here and there, but he noticeably, royally fucked up two songs last night...

Stay, as already mentioned... he started skipping verses and was all out of wack and had to walk across the bridge back to the main stage to "get his bearings" (i.e. read off the teleprompter).

ok... it happens. they don't play Stay all the time. but he also fucked up Streets. STREETS! how do you forget a verse in Streets? started coming in with the chorus waaay too early... realized his mistake and picked up the verse midflow. but come on man... Streets? ya' forget the words to Streets?

that aside, i'm nitpicking. it was another great show. loved that i got Until The End Of The World. :hi5:

one thing that took away from the show at one point that i have to bring up... we were in Red Zone #2... and during Walk On, a song about and dedicated to an oppressed woman, a man started fighting with a woman. like literally... fighting. first with words... then he pushed her. a friend, i guess, got between them and moved them apart and we figured that was it. then after a minute or so he came back to her and grabbed her by the neck and smacked her, to which she turned and started punching him in the face in an effort to get free. the guy next to me tried to pull them apart while i went and got security, who called for a bunch of state troopers and security guards to come in in force and rip the guy out of the red zone. it was unbelievable...

but what was more unbelievable, sad really, is what happened next... the woman saw the man being pulled out, turned around and started pleading with the head security guard to not kick the guy out. turns out the guy was her husband. the woman follows them out, talks to the cops... and the two walk out, hand in hand, escorted by the police.

it was just an incredibly sad irony that during a song about an oppressed woman, a woman defends and walks out with her husband who was physically abusing her in public. sad sad sad.

I saw the security haul him out. What a shame for him/her.

I'd like to thank the person who took this video also - and Shawn, thanks again for forwarding me the link.

I was the last person to hug Bono and it was a dream come true. I got to kiss his neck and tell him that I love him. He gave me three really intense squeezes that felt like heaven. And I am thrilled that my husband got to shake his hand - I never could have imagined I'd have a moment like that with Bono.

How am I ever going to stop watching this video?

Thx again, Mari

I know. Me and Adge tried finding you in the queue.

We actually stood on line only for about 5 minutes before they started letting you move up. We were actually in the front pack of people. When I turned around to see who was behind us there were more behind us than infront of us so I new we were in good shape!!!:sexywink:
