A Friend says someone who tipped him off about McCartneys secret show says a U2 one is coming. He's working on figuring out when. We'll see!
Holy shit.
Also is there some dispute with AEG?
I will drive out to P&H just to get a jump on tickets for that one.
Currently, they are booked Thursday through Monday. And given that it's an AEG venue, I just don't see them playing there.
Seems odd to me to release something new right before a tour of a classic album begins; shouldn't the focus at the moment be on JT?
I imagined they would capitalize on the goodwill from the tour with a subsequent single mid-summer.
At least wait until the intital tour hype wears down.
I'll bet that false equivalence looked good when you typed it out.
Here's what I said at the top of that new thread, my initial reaction:
Then this new single news was essentially debunked by pointing out Neil McCormick's erroneous tweet? Yet some people still thought there was a scent to follow. My "desperate and delusional" comment came 2 days later when it was pretty clear nothing was happening.
Maybe the original poster in this thread is full of shit but he's been here for a few years and claims to have secondhand information from someone who was right about a similar show in the past, not some blurb on a radio station that was never verified or mentioned again and was likely connected to McCormick's error.
You tried.
Hey guys! I swear *I'M* genuine haha. Just reporting the info given to me. Having said that, still no updates.
The Somerville Theater show was definitely a promo event. Only way in was to win tickets.

Same with The Roxy. You could only win tickets from KROQ (I did!). Although I'm sure all the celebs there didn't "win" tickets, lol.
On the other hand, I'll admit now that was a pretty shit post haha kind of reaching, trying compare the two and derail the conversation when, like you said, this guy wasn't wrong before. So yeah, sorry Laz
You think they got into the inner circle because their tickets were rigged to beep? That's not how that works. They were just given the right wristbands.Just like how their tickets didn't "randomly" beep for them to get into the Vertigo inner circle.

at East Rutherford we saw Paul back by the soundboard - he was quite drunk, kept patting us on the back, and gave us wristbands to "go into the heart"
Did you...say anything to him?
