Why is it gonna take that long???
No spoken words said:We were talking about this the other day....I read the book and was underwhelmed, after all the hype over it.....so I've shied away from the show. I am sure that I'll catch up on it all one day via DVD, though.

here's how i can describe the songs:
united colours: the opening track where it's all synths going WHEEEEEEEOOOOOOOOO WOOOOOOOOOO
slug: bono saying random shit like "don't want to lose my shirt" and other things ending in -irt
your blue room: bono having sex with the mic
always forever now: the title is sung in the song so, seriously, come on. plus those are like the only words i think, so yeah.
a different kind of blue: heavily synthesised lyrics that are total nonsense. "those cars all new so small" uhhhh okay
beach sequence: you're not gonna believe this guys but...there's more synths on this song! recognisable as having one line in the song: "time shoots on by" i hope bono didn't get writer's block for it
miss sarajevo: otherwise known as the song everyone knows, or the song with the fat italian dude.
ito okashi: the song with the japanese jibberish
one minute warning: the song with the weeeeird synths and the lyrics that go a lonesome soooooooooul in an old black coooooooat - proof U2 are emo
corpse (this title is way too long): the song the edge sings. also known as the song where the only word you can understand is chains.
elvis ate america: the song with chuck d, aka the song no one likes.
plot 180: the song that goes boom boom boom chicka chicka *ding*
theme from the swan: the one with the violins
theme from let's go native: the one with the bass and drums and with bono going "ha ha" i guess he's laughing at the fact that you listened to the whole album?

No spoken words said:My HS did not have a team (unreal, but, we did have a Chess team and our debate team was sublime) and my College was DIII.
I rarely read sports books, but figured I'd give that one a shot. Reminded me of why I stick to books that do not involve sports.
When the show has run its course, whenever that is, I'm sure I'll get the DVDs.

My college is DIII AND doesn't have a football team. Also, our debate team is pretty mediocre (I'm on it).
I don't think I've ever read a football book, but I love baseball books. W.P. Kinsella, who wrote Shoeless Joe, has some other great novels and short stories (Box Socials, The Iowa Baseball Confederacy), and Mark Harris's Bang the Drum Slowly series is phenomonal.
