More 5G Than Man
Tried to listen to their big album and got absolutely nothing out of it.
Good riddance.
Although most of my hatred for them comes from the fact that I lost my keys during their set (and missed most of brmc's cos I was too busy trying to find my keys), not really much to do with the band themselves. I wasn't a fan, but without the whole lost keys thing I'd probably just be indifferent.
I wasn't a big fan either LM, but they're on DFA so I had to express some sorrow. I found their last album to be a little bit generic compared with a lot of the stuff DFA puts out. Mofo was a big fan I believe.
Are you thinking of a different band? Sure don't seem up your alley

The Rapture is a band who I certainly needed to see live before I had any appreciation for their recordings. The incredible score Pitchfork gave their debut is almost entirely related to their live performances at the time. Their entire show maintained the same sort of energy as the below clip, not really the type of thing a band can keep up as they get older:

I'm glad Burial is still hipster.Answering the tough questions:

Side note, IWB, why have the last two BRMC albums been so horrendous? I don't know how they can follow up two fantastic albums with their two worst. So disappointing.

Also, I really didn't enjoy The Field's last album. And that's weird cause I should like that kind of music. Are his oher albums any better?
LA friends, are there any cheap, reputable hostels in good locations? (Ie close to bars, taxis, public transport)
I'd suggest that they may be thinking of moving, cobs.
I've been strongly considering moving to LA and read an article a couple weeks back about what to expect from moving. The public transport was, clearly, being politely glossed over. The suggestion from the article was that, while it exists, it's just better to have a car...I guess I should read between the lines?
