Vuvuzela? I've always thought Tim Minchin's surname would be an appropriate euphemism for lady parts.

LJT! How the hell are you???

Grand, work could be better but I think that goes for most folks these days:crack: Too little sleep and not enough fun.

Martha: received postcard #2. Another gorgeous one, and yes, rest assured we will be packing up the new car this summer and heading west. Via Colorado. Up in Smoke Tour 2013.

Just got home from the Quadrophenia show. Pretty fucking awesome. Yeah, I'll be continuing to listen to that album non-stop for the next few weeks.

I'm just going to echo Cobbs' sentiments regarding Harvest Fest; Mondo Cane and Sigur Ros were the stellar highlights. Awesome day, made better by the lack of forecasted rain and plenty of unexpected sun. Plus, free sunscreen, Lipton iced tea and bananas for all!

These days I'm getting too much sleep but still not having enough fun. I think I need to get more creative with my time. Good to see you back here, though!

 Kind of regretting not making the effort to see them.

Has anyone resubscribed to U2.com for the From the Ground Up stuff yet? if so, how are No Line and Spanish Eyes? The same quality as U22?

I did .... but I haven't listened to them yet. they're still sitting in their little zip files on my hard drive. :reject:

Oeuvre is probably the word that sounds most like it should be part of female genitalia without exactly being part of female genitalia.
Lol. We use the same word in Dutch and it doesn't sound weird at all. How do you even pronounce it in English?

On an unrelated note, I'm enjoying Banks a great deal. I just realized I enjoy almost everything Paul Banks has ever done.

According to google, "you-ver," which places it firmly in the uvula/uterus paradigm.

This is exactly the kind of discussion I wanted to spark with my statement, so good job, guys.

I haven't resubscribed yet, but I do have those two tracks. Yes, they have the same sound quality as the U22 stuff. I'm especially pleased with Spanish Eyes as I was at that show. It was a great one-off surpise.

I can see that angle, though for me it seems more like a cyber-stalking thing than an outright pornographic thing.

Was cyberstalking even a thing in '93? I feel like the internet wasn't all that prevalent back then.

Not that it really matters. I like the song. Listening to it now for the first time in a while, and I'm getting the impression that it was a song that didn't take the band very long to compose. It's a pretty simple little tune, really.

I only knew like 3 songs on that porn list. Also, I hate the AV club.

And I had always thought that it was pronounced Oh-Vure, but I don't think I've ever used the word out loud.
