I've decided that Empire Ants is one of my favorite songs ever. Not once have I heard that song and haven't felt the need to stop whatever I was doing and listen closely. It's so serene and beautiful, but then it turns on a dime and becomes this epic banger. The buildup to the house portion of the track almost reaches Zooropa's ecstatic league, and Little Dragon's vocal is vulnerable yet soulful.

I'm surprised by how much I've come back to Plastic Beach. It actually wasn't a favorite on first listen, but I find something new to love each time. Gorillaz in general seem really gimmicky, but the songs are there, and that's what counts.

At the end of War now, "40" is playing.

It's ridiculous how I'm all excited about listening to an album I've heard 3412421421412424112 times in my life, that I've got on CD and ripped in ITunes, on vinyl for the first time.

Am thinking Love Comes Tumbling(among others) on vinyl is going to be a trip as well.
