SG, I'm good. I'm on vacation. :D

Going up to the UP starting tomorrow morning with some friends. Not sure if we'll still cross over into Canada at the Soo like we were thinking of doing before today's events. But we plan to go see the waterfalls and the toursisty spots in the Eastern UP for a few days.

Edit for you non-Michigianians: UP= Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

Tahquamenon falls is very cool! :up: I like to go to picture rocks over in the middle UP too :yes:

Sounds like you have a fun few days ahead of you, anyway. :) Planning on going to the casinos?
 
Dunno if we're going to go to any of the Indian casinos while we're there, SG. We're not big gamblers and we can already visit three big casinos here in Detroit, so ... :wink:
 
Thats true Jo; I haven't forgotten all the drama over Detroit and their casinos :wink: I just know a lot of people like the northern ones because they feel safer, somehow. Smaller, friendlier or whatever

Personally I don't enjoy them much, except for the music acts they bring in

Every day on my way home from work I see a billboard for Soaring Eagle casino's music and comedy acts. They do get much better music acts than the Detroit casinos do (but Windsor's casino gets some decent shows).
 
It was one of the Casinos which booked the Killers for a concert last summer, too :yes: my nephew got to go see it but I had to save my money for the vertigo shows :wink:

:yes: It was Soaring Eagle. I drove by that billboard so many times wishing I could go see them there ...

now I remember why I didn't go. I was busy with finishing library school and working, and it was two hours away, and I couldn't do anything last summer. (Which, happily, has not quite been the case this summer.)

I might come on tomorrow before we leave for the airport but you girls probably won't be up (we have to leave 3 hours early because of the security) :| But I love you all and I'll speak to you tomorrow night when I get home!! :hug: :heart:

Hey girls. I made it through yesterday. :| Went out in the afternoon with Kat and Andy. We drove out to a country pub about a 20 minute drive and had some lunch. :drool: Then we walked along the canal for a bit. Andy droppped us back off home. My family were supposed to be coming but instead of my 2 aunties my 3 cousins had come along aswell. :| I couldn't cope with that many people was too tired so Kat convinced me to fob them off, so i said i was too tired, then went and had a nap. :reject::lol:

Then Andy had to go to his Dad's for tea and Kat had to go out so i started getting really upset. Had just logged on here when Andy called round. He had left his Dads early as his brother he doesnt get on with had turned up so i ended up at his last night. Thank god that brother turned up, was nice being curled up in his arms. :heart:

will stop rambling now. :lol:

Me and Andy might have been in Greece now if we had managed to get our flights changed. :ohmy: That would have sucked with all the chaos in the UK airports. HIs kids are in Spain right now, hopefully everything will have calmed down when they get back.

I'm kinda browsing different forums in interland at the moment. Am off out on a bike ride soon though. Not been out for ages on my bike. Andy told me a 4 mile route i can take. Will make me believe im fit if can do it :shifty::wink::lol:
