So I guess according to those statistics, I'm taller than average. I always wanted to be much taller than I am, despite having a growth spurt at a very young age and towering over everyone until about grade 9, when all the boys caught up to me.

Same, I think I've been this height since I was 10. Midway though high school, this girl I went to elementary school with commented that I wasn't nearly as tall as I seemed back then.

I'm not sure how they gathered the data, but I'd bet that younger people are much taller on average than baby boomers and older.
