It could be the audio recorded close to the stadium, and then the taper decided that looking at a long shot of the claw/stadium would be more interesting to look at than a shot of a concrete wall or something from that close up.

They played Pride, COBL, Vertigo, maybe Slow Dancing, Streets, and maybe MOS. There's a YouTube video of Pride being rehearsed, twice. There's a U2.com video of claw lighting tests.
