There was no encore in Anaheim. Just a straight out rockin' set.

discothequeLP said:after 40, the lights were down for at least 5 minutes! i really thought that we would get an encore, you could see people behind the stage running around and stuff. i guess the band just didn't have anything to play to end the show better than 40
discothequeLP said:after One, the lights went down and Bono said something like "give us a couple minutes" and the lights were off for a bit (of course the crowd was going wild). i can't remember if they showed anything during the break

Honestly, my impression was that they just wanted to get off stage and give it another go tomorrow night. There were a few miscues during the show and while I won't go so far as saying the set was bad, it certainly was uneven.

Were you on the floor, Kevin??? did you see the fight break out? the two guys and the one girl??? it was during the break between bands...we were on level 4 row 3 but we were looking straight down on the GA..relatively good seats...but the fight went on and on and on....

If you noticed, edge had some prpblems in the beginning and Bono had them through-out the show. Bono kept yelling to a technician in one of the cat-walks periodically about something. i think that may have had something do do with the odd goings on with the set, etc. I am curiosu to see if anythign is mentioned about it.
The song ended with Bono saying, "Thank you, give us a couple of minutes."
After a short break, the band returned to the stage to play a second set that was more like part two than encore. "Zoo Station" opened this new section, with Edge walking the ellipse alone and letting rip that fantastic, charging guitar line that opened the "Achtung Baby" album. Like Monday, Edge sported the Madonna headset to provide his backing vocals. For his part, Bono made up all new lyrics for the song, getting his inspiration from members of the GA crowd, including one person who handed him a lily.

Yeah, I noticed some of that too. Edge's mic cut out completely during his part in Miracle Drug and it sounded like Bono's was fading in and out at times too.
