There is no way the band will do an all 80's set list, or anything close such a set list. U2 gained a whole new audience on the Elevation tour and the subsequent tours. That audience wants to hear 2000 era songs and the band will oblige. A simple encore of fours songs from the 90's and 00's isn't going to suffice for a stadium tour. Give me the JT album and then head back towards the 90's and on with Bad of course.

Chopping down of the joshua tree,i like the idea of that actually. Joshua tree mode,final song,lights go down and zoo station kicks in,bono comes out in his fly shade. Think id lose my shit :)

I know Edge was talking about building up to Streets, but surely the song lends itself to being a perfect opener with the way the intro builds. Have a video mashup intro leading in to the synths and the red lights and the crowd will be bouncing.
 
Glastonbury 2010 set was going to start with streets. The band were quoted pretty sure it was q magazine saying they were going to start with the song. Then bono broke his back
 
Not very creative, but I could totally see an adapted I&E tour set... might actually work quite well since the SOI material works with the older stuff and the idea of leading into the Joshua Tree:

I just want Bad, it's all I ever really want. Being Dutch it's pretty easy to make sure I get to hear it (just buy final day tickets), but still on the other days, getting either One of Bad+40 was such a huge difference in the shows ending. (One being extremely lame as a closer imo).

Now I don't know if there's any extra days being added or it will just be the one. There's room for extra days but I really don't know. I feel if it's one day the closing song will be the same every show, and I hope it's not One (which works much better somewhere in the middle)...

Wonder if the Vancouver stage Fright documentary guy gets to sing a song on stage? Vancouver night two 2015 he got bumped for the BB King song. Maybe do it in Seattle so not to interfere with opening night head space.
