ONE love, blood, life
I'm sitting here, listening to "I'll Be Satisfied" by Jackie Wilson.
And I'm thrilled.
Music given to me by my mother.
He has one of the best singing voices I've ever heard. He can jump from the lowest of lows to some glass breaking highs.
And with amazing emotion.
He sang the best material. All the arrangements are funky and fun. If he wrote it he'd rival Otis Redding as the greatest R&B/Soul artist of all time:
Reet Petite (The Finest Girl You'd Ever Want To Meet)
Lonely Teardrops
(Your Love Keeps Lifting Me) Higher & Higher
Talk That Talk
To Be Loved
Whispers (Gettin' Louder)
That's Why (I Love You So)
Lordy. There's some sweaty stuff in there.
What's wrong with modern R&B and soul?
They're dropping the ball big time. It's a crime.
