it's official # pop-ups galore

I'm updating my Tripod historical site, taking out dead links (it's a list of links, and I find too many dead links embarrassing). I get about a thousand pop-ups during the updating. Ugh! It's a mess! It takes me about five minutes to get rid of the stupid pop-ups.
