My mom is on a kick to do Christmas at a national park. Martha, we can take the cold, but what else do you think of doing Glacier for Christmas? Are we crazy?

Most of the park is closed after September, as far as I know. They get 450 inches of snow there. You'd be able to see the east and west fringes, but that's about it. Logan Pass didn't open till late June this year.

Go south, maybe Zion or Arches. Yellowstone is open, I think, but snowcats and snowmobiles are it, as far as I know.
