Oh my god I love them!!!!!!!!!

And I have to say I am so very proud of you for taking everyone's advice.. for getting them neutered, for putting collars on them.. you've come a long way and their lives will be so much better as a result. :applaud:

Here's another video we found from when my guys were wee. :cute:

YouTube - Kittens Part 1

Awwwwww! :cute: I've loved your little calico ever since you started posting their pictures. Guess I just have "a thing" for calicos since we got Callie three years ago. Here she is recently, with her adopted brother Fergus (whom we took in as a stray), coexisting on my bed.

thanks everyone! and thanks for your continuing advice. I will definitely be checking into the other food options mentioned here and on the last page.
VP thats quite a collection you got there.

Meezer's condition seems to have gotten worse. :( He's still sneezing and now his eyes are watery. I am going to take him to the vet tomorrow. Poor little sneezing guy. i hope Will and Roscoe don't catch it too.

Callie's a beauty! So is Fergus. :)

Abby is a very sweet girl. Everyone warned me about what terrors tri-colours can be, but she's as calm and good natured as can be. Her sister, Zoey the torbi, is another matter, lol. She's my wild child. Super affectionate, needs a ton of attention, but definitely a challenge!

Thanks. My cat posse, lol. I think mine are just a couple of weeks older than yours. I need to post new pics soon.

We are gonna have to take wee Megan to vets tonight because she has been sneezing just a few times over past week, thou this morn she sneezed and her nose was wet. they both got their usual jabs last year, so I hope it's nothing serious!

:ohmy::sad::|

You all are making me want a cat. I don't usually go for 'em, but there's a cute grey-and-white kitten that sits on my car hood at night. I've been feeding it too :reject:. I want to keep it, but I don't how or if I should take a stray and make him a domesticated pet.

Fergus (the big gold boy in the picture above) was a neighborhood stray we started feeding when he began to hang around the back yard of a house we bought. After asking all the neighbors if they knew whether he had a home, and they all said he didn't, we decided he'd be ours. We brought him in the house, put him in a spare room (with food, a litter box, and a bed) to keep him separated from Callie, until we could take him to the vet for an exam, test for feline leukemia (negative, thank goodness!), shots, and flea treatments. He's been indoors ever since. He only seems mildly interested in going outside, but we don't let him!

If a cat is at all wild, it's much easier to domesticate if it's young, so this would be a great time to catch him/her and give it a home. Plus you'd be giving it a much better life than it will have out on it's own (it's a tough world out there, especially for little animals). All my cats have been strays and they've been wonderful pets. Besides it sounds as if this kitten has already picked you, so take the hint and bring it in! :D

And then take some pics and post them here! We love cute kitties.

So Meez doesn't have a cold after all. He has an infection in his mouth. The infection is causing the sneezing and watery eyes. He got a shot and has antibiotics. He will probably need dental work when he is better. He's been under my couch since we got home. The vet said he should be feeling better soon.

That's great news. The antibiotics should make him feel better right away. My Loki was already an old cat (between 9 and 11 years) when he came to me nearly five years ago and he had really bad teeth. Finally last spring we had to remove the last seven teeth. Because he was so old my vet wanted to do several tests and see a specialist to make sure he could handle the anaesthesia and such, so he was put on antibiotics while we scheduled everything. He felt and ate better right away which was such a relief.

And after having his teeth out he felt even better. His gums hurt and he wouldn't eat for several days (had to force feed him, which did not please him at all), but even so it was obvious that he felt good. It's given him a new lease on life. And now that his gums have all healed he even eats dry cat food! (he still gets canned food though)

Wow good thing you took him in.  Meez

There was heavy rain last night, and we brought him in the house. I don't have a bed or anything like that. I put him on a bunch of blankets and let him chill in the den. Hubby made a vet appt for Friday. I bookmarked a couple of pet care sites to get some general info on ownership.

I've never had a kitten before...all of my pets have been fish, frogs. I'm a 31 year woman, and this is my first pet cat :|. I am soooo uncool.

My mom says he's hanging around because I keep feeding him. She told me cats are like people....if you feed them too much they never go away:D.

You're doing everything right. Have you named him yet? :cute:

You are doomed.

Cats can make great pets and you're doing a good job so far.

Cats are clever -- they seem to instinctively know where the suckers live. :D

Hahaha your mom is smart. Good for going to take kitty to the vet. The vet will hopefully asses the age of the cat, maybe deworm it, see if it has any problems, and hopefully educate you on spay/neuter etc.

Just come here to ask questions.. we've all had cats for many years and can probably answer just about any questions.

Meezer hides under the bed every time I give him his medication. :( His eye isn't as puffy today and his sneezing is less. It's good to know that he'll be able to eat normally even if they remove a tooth or 2 when he's better. :)

Poor guy :( Try to give him extra love, treats, etc. I know my cats run away every time I either try to medicate them, or put their flea meds on.

My bf's parents cat pretty much has no teeth left and he can eat just fine. :)
